Joeun's eyes widen when she felt his touch. Her skin became hot, as if her veins had been electrocuted. The sudden pain made her winced and she immediately pulled her hand away. 

His hand hung mid-air, as he stared at her in confusion. "What's wrong?" 

"N-nothing." she stuttered. The pain was slowly bubbling within her, making her breath coming up in gasps. 

"Joeun-" he started, and held her shoulders firmly to keep her from moving away. At an instant, his touch sent a burning sensation to her skin that propelled her to scream in utter pain. She cried out again as she pushed him away and staggered backwards. 

"Stay away from me!" 

"What?" his eyes remained perplexed---his soft blue eyes that appeared like azure water reflecting the skies---were almost a comfort for her if it wasn't for the monster he was slowly turning into in her eyes. 

She was scared, terrified of him. Because she had never felt pain in her whole life. And this was the first. 

He was the cause of it.
