New Beginning

Description

So this fic is a sequel of my first fic, IT'S COMPLICATED  (http://www.asianfanfics.com/story/view/53493/it-s-complicated-choijonghun-choiminhwan-ftisland-leehongki-leejaejin-songseunghyun)

This fic will focus now on Hongki and Jonghun who both do not have a very good experience with love and the story will revolve around how they're going to deal with it. It's a matter of moving on or getting stuck from where they are. :)

comments are very much appreciated.. ^^

Foreword

Choi Jonghun’s POV:

I got a message from Jaejin just this morning. I let out a small smile upon seeing his message.

      "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED."

I lost. I obviously did. But seeing her smile still brings a smile on my face too. Even though it’s not me that can put those curves on her lips, I will still be happy for her. It still hurts though. Of course, it’s not easy to move on but I am trying.

No, I do not regret giving way for the two of them; honestly I think they deserve to finally be happy. It just that, there will always be that part of me that will be “a little sad” when I see them together. I just want to continue living, I do not know what to expect tomorrow. But I’m still looking forward to it.

The next challenge comes; seeing them together. I wonder how I can handle that since not seeing those two is just impossible. Oh well, here goes nothing.

Lee Hongki’s POV:

“I’m winning!” She screamed so excitedly. I can’t help but get amused every time she becomes excited. She turns suddenly into this adorable little kid when she gets competitive. I can’t help but get flushed with her simplicity.

“No, not yet.” I smirked at her as I successfully passed over her car in the game we were playing.

“You’re mean.” She pouted when she realized her lost.

“No I’m not. I won fair and square.” I grabbed her by the waist and hugged her to comfort her.

“But I’m your girlfriend. You could’ve let me win you know.” She grumbles cutely.

But we both know you don’t like winning that way.” I kissed her on the chick and she smiled back at me.

“You know me so well.” She turned to me and kissed my lips. It was heaven all right. We were enjoying the snuggling moments like we usually do.

                “I love you.” She said.

“I love you too.. so much.”

“Hongki-ah, it’s time.” I was staring at  Kyung-Hee's room as if it just happened yesterday. Her things in her room were still in place; the videogame we played that day was still there. Her sweet voice as she said those three words was still ringing in my ears. All of it disappeared when her mom’s voice brought me back to the present.

“Let’s go, everybody is waiting.” Her mom gave me a weak smile trying to make me move in the place I was stuck in. Her mom then walked towards me when she noticed I was not moving an inch. I looked down feeling so weak and all. I suddenly felt Mrs. Park hugging me as to comfort me.

“Hongki, we know how much you loved our daughter and we are really thankful for that. But it has been a year now. We have to move on. She won’t be in peace if she sees you like this.” I just nodded, trying very hard to hold back the tears. There were still no words that came out from me. “Now let’s go.” She let go of me and I followed suit.

It was a quiet journey. It wasn’t that far but it felt a long ride to me. Her parents were able to show smiles and laughs but I still cannot manage to bring myself to do that especially knowing that we’ll visit her, in this place.

“Hongki, we’re here.” Her dad’s voice was gentle. I nodded and literally dragged myself out of the car to go to her. We had to walk a few meters and I can’t help but notice the quiet place. It’s just our footsteps and the wind that you can hear. We prayed in silence but my mind went back to the old days; the times we spent together, her laugh, her rants, everything about her.

I looked at her name engraved on the tomb. I could still not bring myself to accept the fact that my beloved is gone for a year already.
