Kim Soojin the girl everyone envied, some even hated and some wished they were. Well, of course others would envy this girl. She was Choi Seunghyun’s secretary. Being the CEO of the Choi Cooperation’s wasn’t easy especially when you had clients all over the world to take care of. Even though Seunghyun had several employees and they were scattered on every part of the world, there was only one of them that stood him the closest. It was none other than his secretary Kim Soojin. She would be with him at all times. He had a meeting to attend she was there. He was going overseas she would be in the same plane. He was getting off work she would be in the same car as him. They were stuck together like glue.

Some believed they were in a romantic affair, but little did they know Seunghyun was never the person to break rules. Romance was not allowed at his work place and that rule regarded him as well. Soojin had never seen Seunghyun care for him out of the ordinary. Yeah, he could tell her to get off early from work one day but that wasn’t out of concern for her. It was just because he needed her to attend a meeting with him later during the evening. In that case she could get some rest before getting back to work. So whatever he did with her, it was out of his own interest. He was never interested in her, or so she thought.

Seunghyun walked through the corridor inside his company hearing small giggles and he couldn’t help but furrow his brows. He was pretty sure he had never heard anyone laugh at his company, better yet smile to one another. It was probably because of his aura that affected the others, but he believed business was serious, so there was no time to fool around. But it seemed like this particular employee believed it was okay to break the rules.

He stopped his tracks and narrowed his eyes as his ears perked up. Why was the sound of that voice awfully familiar? Heels clicking against the floor echoed against the walls and there at the end of the hallway he noticed his assistant heading his way. She stopped in her tracks wearing her black pencil skirt topped with a peplum white blouse. Her black hair fell over her shoulder as she cleared and straightened her back. “I’ll call you later” She hung up swiftly seeing Seunghyun’s piercing eyes towards her from the other side of the hall, wearing his black attire. Even though none of them had had an affair, she had to admit she believed he was rather handsome. Even now he made her knees weak. But Seunghyun had always been strict about following the rules which was why she was pretty sure he never looked at her in that way.

Soojin fastened her pace and faced Seunghyun his eyes never leaving hers and she smiled sheepishly towards him. “Good morning sir, I’ll bring your coffee to your office in a bit” She excused as she opened the door to the waiting room where her desk was having him stepping inside. She jogged over to the other door behind her desk where his office was located. The moment he entered he turned around signalizing her to walk inside. She blinked but did as she was told. He turned around and sat on his seat looking straight at her.

“Close the door” He commanded and she closed it shut and looked over at him with confusion. He leaned against his chair as his dark eyes were settled on her. She couldn’t help but feel shivers run down her spine as she gulped.

“Y-yes…Sir is there anything I can help you with?” She managed to stutter and his brow arched.

“Who were you talking to earlier?” Soojin couldn’t help but blink a few times thinking it was rather shocking that Seunghyun was meddling in her privacy. He had never as in never asked or even spoken about his personal life. Better yet he had never interfered in hers either, so why now?

“Uhm…an old…friend?” She questioned more than answered and he cleared his throat while straightening his back.

“This old friend of yours…doesn’t she know that you work at this hour?”

“Yes, he does” She answered back only to notice how Seunghyun’s cool poster changed dramatically. She wasn’t sure her answer made him react that way, but it was the very first time she had seen that expression on his face. He seemed taken aback, which he would never be. He took surprises with a smirk, but seeing his eyes rounding and his brows furrowing was unusual.
