Through the Music

Description

And when the door slammed, I was left alone in the silence of anger and rage, yet it was also filled with guilt and worry. There was an uncomfortable feeling in my chest that caused me to think insecurely about where Changmin would end up tonight. He's my twin brother and was born less than 5 minutes after me, but he was still my younger brother.

Why did I shout at him? I asked myself. What good would come from that?

The more time went by, the more my head was filling with questions, my heart with guilt, and my stomach with concern. But something popped in my head that relieved me just a bit.

He was probably with Seohyun.

Seohyun was the one he'd go to anytime. She was his girlfriend after all, and the one who could calm him down with her smart yet soothing words. He probably went to her.

A small smile of relief appeared on my face as I thought of Seohyun. She was a very nice girl. I felt a lot sorry for making her the topic of our argument before he'd left.

I remembered all of my encounters with Seohyun and though they had been short, she seemed like a kindhearted person. I could hear myself whisper with a grin, "Rose."

Those thoughts had put me to sleep while I was waiting for my brother to come back.

But morning came and when I awoke, he was nowhere to be seen. I panicked a bit, but tried to keep myself calm. Perhaps, I thought, he spent the night at Seohyun's.

That was a weird assumption, considering Seohyun's standards about men and women spending the night together under the same roof, but it was hope that led me on. So I quickly called her phone and hoped she would answer a yes to my question of if Changmin was there.

My face fell when hearing her words, "No... he's not here. Are you sure he's not there? He left last night at around eight."

Hanging up, I put on a jacket to go out. But the phone rang and I picked it up, silently praying it was him. It was my mom. And her crying words made me drop the phone.

Cho Kyuhyun was used to a laid-back lifestyle, but it changed when his parents made him and his twin brother, Changmin, move out and try to get a job. While Kyuhyun worked really hard and got a great job that paid well, Changmin struggled to get a steady career.

Even though Kyuhyun sometimes felt like complaining, he kept that feeling off when he did song-writing along with Changmin.

As Kyuhyun was successful with a job, though, Changmin seemed to be successful with his love-life.

Seo Joohyun, who everyone called Seohyun, was the one who had stolen Changmin's heart and had met Kyuhyun many times because of him. Kyuhyun, trying to be a good brother, was happy for Changmin.

But when he finally hits the limit of having to work and seeing his brother be happy and carefree, he argues with him, making Seohyun the topic in the process. After the fight, an accident happens and caused Changmin's death.

The other driver in the accident escaped, making Kyuhyun angry and depressed at the same time.

He locked himself away from the world, but Seohyun tries to open him up again through music.
