Foreword
Jaejoong flipped the newspaper closed and laid it upside down on the kitchen table, pushing it away from him. He put his face in his hands.
"I don't know, mom," He mumbled. "I can't find anything." Jaejoong felt a soft hand squeeze his arm.
"It's alright son." The middle aged woman spoke, her voice slightly above a whisper. "We'll find a way to live."
Jaejoong hated not being able to support his family. He hated it more than anything in the world. He was a man and a man was supposed to support his family.
"No mom," He said, putting his hands on the table. "I'll find a job."
"Don't stress yourself." She whispered.
Jaejoong rose form the table and stared down at his mother. "How can you tell me not to stress myself? We are so close to being homeless. Do you want to live on the streets, mom? Why are you still pretending that we are going to be okay forever?"
A gentle eyed mother reached for her sons hand. She held it in her cold ones. "You're a good boy," She said, her voice shaky. "Anybody would be lucky to hire you."
Jaejoong felt his eyes prick. "I need to find a job." He whispered, pulling his mother into a hug. She rested her head on his chest, holding him tight in return.
"I know baby," She rubbed her hand in continuous circles on his lower back to comfort him. "But you can't do everything all by yourself."
Jaejoong sighed. "I know mom. But I have to do something."
