Today, Monday, 17^th of November 2014, has got to be ‘the’ worst day in the entire period of time in which Youngmin has lives through. The said boy is 17 years old, meaning he had been walking, breathing, eating and do other things that a human must do to continue living for a whole 17 years, or, give and take, roughly about 6 188 days, which totals in about 148 512 hours and about 8 910 720 seconds. Pardon if the calculation is incorrect. Simply thinking about mathematics and its sub-divisions reminds Youngmin of why he simply hates today…

After all, out of the 6 188 days he had been alive and kicking, why, just why must ‘this´ happen today.

Why, and what exactly happen that make Youngmin sinks forever deeper into the bottomless abyss of despair as he wallow in self-pity one might ask. Why, the reason is rather simple and while it is somewhat anti-climatic to some, it’s even more of a turn off to most but it makes a great plot twist for a story so deal with it. It’s because today, is ultimately the most dreaded day for most senior student from various high school all around South Korea, the day for the students like Youngmin and Kwangmin to take the SAT exam.

Why and what exactly happen that make Youngmin sinks forever deeper into the bottomless abyss of despair as he wallow in self-pity one might ask. Why the reason is rather simple and while it is somewhat anti-climatic to some, it’s even more of a turn 0ff to most but it makes a great plot twist for a story (so deal with it,) it’s because today, Youngmin and Kwangmin as well as all the other senior from various high school all around South Korea face their ultimate test by far in a cold and unforgiving battlefield. Not literally of course ( I’m not that mean to write about the boys engaging in a war. I just can’t imagine them as an actual soldier...But who knows…)

The twins, alongside their classmate and other students were in a brutal war commonly known as examination, against a formidable mountain called accounting which barely anything to them and yet all of it’s (accounting’s) enemy, the students taking the paper, has fallen both into their knees and into a pit of despair and anguish. My oh my, what a flowery and symbolic way to explain examinations which is true by the way.

Nonetheless, the real reason that had Youngmin depressed is, strangely enough, not the examinations or the fact that he is taking the nerve-wrecking exam that will decide his future, but it’s the fact that account paper that he just took was… for the lack of a better word, difficult enough to make Youngmin wanting to cry. Yet he, albeit with much, much difficulties in forms of taxing accounting questions and his classmate next to him keep sighing and looking like he had just raise the white flag, Youngmin persevere.

That being said, he’s anything but confident in scoring an A, or even a B as a matter of fact for that particularly arduous paper. Therein lays the problem. For Kwangmin who wished nothing more than to catch his brother’s attention that is…

This is the story of Kwangmin’s struggles as he tries again and again (and failing again and again) to snap his older by six minute brother from that depressed bubbles of his. He tries everything from treating Youngmin his favorite ice-cream to watching his brother’s favorite drama (cringing the whole time at how sappy and rainbowy and just… gliterry the drama is). Heck, he, Kwangmin, who is well-known to NOT do aegyo no matter for what reason, even sacrifice his image and act cute just to get Youngmin’s attention.

He mentally weighs the pros and cons and decided that if it means getting Youngmin’s undivided attention, his image is a small price to pay. Unfortunately, it is a bad investment on his side for Youngmin didn’t even blink at him…
