Description
Elise is a heiress who has had leukemia for as long as she can remember. Her condition has forced her to reside in a hospital. It rules her life, dictates where she is, how she is, what she does, how others treat her. Shooting stars race across the skies, so brilliant they are, shining and illuminating the darkness in her world. She set her gaze upon one. It gave her courage. Courage to dare. Dare to hope. Hope to live against the odds stacked up against her. Luhan is an angel who has lost his beloved. 18 years have passed. He moved on, but not without carrying the scar left behind in his heart. It stays beneath the surface for most of his days, but at times, it has risen, unbidden, to surface, evoking a spell that has left his cheeks wet, every single time.

I decided to take a step out and create a chaptered fic after getting some inspiration (I read a Chinese book and there was a quote that got me thinking) so kaboom here is this story! It is my first, so constructive criticism is okay, but please do not bash me or my writing. No plagiarism is allowed. I hope you enjoy this story, and thank you for reading something that will grow together with me. I hope it will develop with me as I mature into a better writer. I have researched a bit on leukemia, especially treatment options, and discoveredwhile doing so that one of my school seniors (who died before I entered my school) died of leukemia. It saddened me that someone so close in age to me, who was a promising badminton player, and was an active person before his diagnosis, died of leukemia and left behind his sister who was then sitting for national exams. It might have been insufficient funding for cancer research. It might have been a lack of awareness amongst the parents, who didn't realise what the symptoms meant. That resulted in a death of a 16 year old. Please donate to any medical research fund if you can do so. I think that would save lives.
