It was time. The time that I had been praying will never come.

His warm hands made this winter seem like nothing as they tightly held onto mine. I would miss that.

Locking my gaze on him, he knew too well what I was thinking.

I knew what I was getting myself into. He knew it as well.

Goodbyes were always the hardest.

So many memories spent together, all these days I've been so used to seeing him around, and now it would all change.

No words could escape either of our mouths.

I didn't want him to go. I didn't want him to leave.

Slowly, but full heartedly, I mutter to him, my last request:

"Will you warmly hold me closer?"
