One year ago, the love of his life was lost to precisely that third word. Mortality. Three hundred and sixty five days spent with death. And now Kyungsoo's time is coming too.

"Did you know him well?" Kyungsoo asks. Simply because he wants to. Simply because the quiet, the silence, is killing him as well.
"Hm?" The man looks at him.
Kyungsoo gestures to the lowering coffin, unable to form his once-friend's name with his lips. Still friend, he corrects himself. An entire existence shouldn't be something pushed into the past.
"Ah, him," the man finally says, nodding his head. Like he really didn't know. "No," he answers. "Not really."
'No' is what he says, but when Kyungsoo looks him up and down -- that prim black suit, the darkness and solemnity of this person's aura, perfectly contrasting his devious smile -- it's as though the man belongs here. And Kyungsoo's sure that he did know him well. That he's lying.
"Then who are you?" This time Kyungsoo is the one to turn to him, only to see that the man's eyes are resting calmly on the crowd in front of them, seemingly focused entirely on the funeral.
"I'm pretty sure you know me," he tells Kyungsoo. Casual. Careless.
But his voice is unfamiliar. His face, and his motions, and his demeanor. Nothing resembles anyone Do Kyungsoo had ever encountered before this day.
"What's your name?"
"My name? Right, right. It's Kim Jongin. Something along those lines."
Kim Jongin, Kyungsoo thinks. He'll remember that.
A/N: Hey everyone! This is what I like to call a death-wish story, in which I have other things to write but have lost the motive for those stories and thus have started this one. And to those people that have requested these stories, I'm dearly sorry.
Not gonna lie! I heard about those people that have their fanfics published by changing names, etc., and hey, I wanted to give it a try too! I won't be continuing this story for a while, but leave me feedback? :) I'd love to hear some opinions and whatnot before I keep writing!
