Macau was beautiful. And even Beijing. The nightlife was fantastic and the shopping centers didn’t fail her expectations. The city was showing her the flashy beauties that comes to life everytime the sun comes down; but the sunrise will always be the best about everything.

"It’s always darkest before the dawn"

There was the hint of silence, of peace, as Lee Chaerin sits on her comforter and look over the sight of Beijing that her suite could offer.By the time the clock strikes 3AM, the city slowly hushes down as the establishments turns off their lights and signals their day to being over. A time for relaxation. By the time the clock turns four, one can hear the silence creeping through the place that was once booming with people and different lights. The only moving thing that could be easily seen are the graveyard vehicles that travels and passes through the highways. And nothing else. It was a moment of silence as the busy city takes it break to breathe and appreciate the remaining beauty of what nature has given them.

The Sky.

It was a starry sky. As the land under it darkens into sleep, the stars which has died million years ago shines brightly with their lifeless fragments of lights. They danced and gave a show to Earth’s human eyes, flashing and twinkling their tiny little sparks like jewelries in the sky. It was beautiful. The gray-ish clouds combined with the blueness of the sky’s sea due to it’s lack of the sun’s rays discreetly glided across the vast stage in which the stars were performing. There was no moon.

The clock strikes six and Lee Chaerin’s phone beeped a silent, yet attention seeking tone. She didn’t manage to sleep that night nor does she even feel tired. She just came from a concert, yes. And she was supposed to calm down her adrenalin but it wasn’t the energy from the recent party that was keeping her up. It was the absence of the warmth that usually caresses her body and blows away the threats that are formed on her head. She wished she was watching the sky with him right now. She wished she was holding his hand while they watch the silence of the world surface and give way to the performance of the stars. They didn’t need to talk, she just needed him to be with her and she knows everything would be much better. It has only been two nights and she misses him terribly already. Wasn’t it always like that though?

After the fourth beep of her phone which indicated that she has received four messages. Chaerin shifted her position, stretches her legs across the mattress and then reaches over the bedside table to read her messages. Apparently, there’s only one.

One cheesy message from the Cheesy Master himself, and three pictures of Seoul’s sunrise which was taken by his phone from their favorite spot on their house’s rooftop. “There’s no place like home” she muttered as she stares at the picture and imagined herself being in the arms of South Korea, within his warmth, his scent, his lips. And just then, her eyelids felt heavy.

Unfortunately, it was already six in the morning already and sleeping is totally out of the option.

"I miss you" she typed as a reply to her husband "Just a few more hours baby. I can't wait to see you again."
