“Baekhyun-ah! How was the meeting?” Taeyeon asked, placing the kimchi slices onto the plate for dinner. Baekhyun loosened his tie and lay on the couch in exhaustion, “I don't know. I think it went pretty well, to be honest. B&T Design is an amazing company though. They have high profits every year but half of it goes to charity. Can you believe it?”

“Who's the CEO? I heard it's a joint partnership.”

“The CEO is Tiffany Hwang. Um..... Her partner is Yoon Bora.”

Taeyeon froze in her actions. 

‘T-Tiffany Hwang?’

“Yul, why are you so nice to me?” Jessica whispered, looking down at the scenery before her. 

Jessica Jung was just an ordinary girl. She had to quit school so she could provide for Nicole and Krystal. As the sole breadwinner, responsibilities fell onto her shoulder and she became cold. She didn't want to mix around with anyone unless it was necessary. 

Although that was her original plan, Jessica was glad that she had met Sunny and Yuri. Sunny was a bubbly girl and a good friend too, always helping her along with different matters. Yuri was an interesting boss, always finding ways to keep Jessica close to her. 

“Because you amaze me, Jessica Jung.”

Yuri admitted in a tone that was unfamiliar to Jessica, to herself as well. She never thought that she had a vulnerable side like this, especially when it came to the topic of love.

“I don't know what the you've been doing to my mind lately. All I know is that I want you beside me every minute, every second. I want you to be safe; I want to see your smile.”

Jessica was taken aback by the profanity at first but her heart started to pump harder and harder with every little confession Yuri made. 

“I want you, Jessica.”

“That's all there is to it.”

“Noona…” Jongin softly muttered, turning Sunny to face him, “please forgive me for this.”

Before Sunny could even utter a response, she felt a pair of lips press against her forehead in the most gentle manner she could ever feel. Her heart was starting to pump irregularly, much to her horror (surprise, actually). She thought her love for Sooyoung was the strongest ever but thanks to Jongin, that love might keep wavering time and again - Sunny wasn't sure if that was a good or bad thing. 

“J-Jongin…”

She really wanted to say more but the earth-shattering gaze in Jongin’s eyes automatically made her lips stop. He might be in love with her but she really can’t give him more than friendship at this point in time; there was so much on her mind, plus the fact that she wasn’t single wasn’t helping at all (though she could bet that Sooyoung would be too happy to let go of her).

“You don’t have to say anything, Noona. I just wanted to let you know that I’m willing to wait.” Jongin took a deep breath and placed Sunny's hand on his chest, “this belongs to you. I hope you know that caring for it is more beneficial for you.”
