SNEAK-PEEK

Friday was a perfect day for him. School has just ended, and he was already done with his part-time job for the day. Autumn was about to end. He grabbed the edges of his cardigan, wrapping it tighter around himself while digging his nose among the woolly fabric of his scarf. He detoured into the café, ordering a hot mocha takeaway before taking his leave and returning back home. He lives in a run-down building – his job barely making him afford to go to school and pay for the rent.

Around the corner of his apartment, he heard loud banging and a splash of paint. “There! There he is!” He dropped his mocha and made a run for it, turning around many corners before climbing up the ladders to the rooftop. His parents owe a huge debt to a mafia gang, NightShadow. Their men were always chasing after him, demanding for the pay back as his parents were no longer on Earth to do so. As such he began to be swift, cautious, and taking risk to save himself from the mafia.

He is Kim Jongin, and he learns how to survive.

He continued his way down the alley he frequent the most, removing his tie and blazer along the way. Knocking on the back door, once, twice, rat-ta-tat-tat. Before it opens up to him. Blurry men stopped to greet him and he gave a short nod. Stepping in to a room, he picked up a small dagger. Tossing it around in his hands, he threw it behind him, hitting the dart board on the wall at bull’s eye. Removing the gun from his pants pocket, he placed it on the table and extinguished his cigarette.

He is Do Kyungsoo, and he learns how to be the boss of a mafia gang.
