Chapter 8: Turbulence In the Skies.

"Can I take that from you?" asked the flight attendant from before. She was making her way through the aisles, picking up the empty trays. Smiling at her, I nodded. "Kasahamnida." I thanked, handing her the now empty trays. She placed the trays into her silver cart and continued down the aisle. 

Next to me Jonghyun was going through his black Jansport backpack. What the heck is he looking for? Jonghyun pulled out a green box and his hands opened the lid. Something special?

He pulled out a piece of gum sticking the piece of blue gum into his mouth. "Want one?" he asked. Ugh, nothing special… just gum. He didn't even wait for me to reply and opened the 18 pieces of gum pack.

Pulling one out, Jonghyun unwrapped it. "Say AHH!" he said, as he rested the gum in front of my mouth. Oh god, not this again. "Trying to feed me again?" I asked. He shook his head vertically in agreement.

"Just gives me a reason to touch your lips..." Aishh, this pervert.

"You're such a pervert, Jonghyun." I replied, laughing. Jonghyun eventually placed the gum into my mouth. He looked extremely pleased by doing that. How can such an angelic looking man be so perverted?

"Miyoung, you remind me of a panda." Random, much?

"Well, you remind me of a dinosaur!" I rebutted.

"Really? That is so coincidental because I can say I love you in dinosaur language! ... RAWR," he replied as he made a claw-like pose. Oh my fucking god. What has this airplane food done to Jonghyun?

"JJong, what the hell did you eat?" He flashed me an odd smile. "Bibimbap & Beef, remember? Silly…" Oh. God.

After several minutes Jonghyun calmed down from his somewhat "high" state. "Thank God, your normal again," I said grabbing hold of his hand. It just seemed natural, like how he held my hand when we were taking off.

"Sorry," he mumbled.

I nodded my head. "So, are you ever going to tell me what the heck you and Onew talked about?"

He looked at me and frowned. "Onew said that he knew we were fake and is going to kill me when I get off the plane," he whispered. HOLY SHIT! REALLY? For a second, Jonghyun seemed believable… until he burst out laughing.

I slapped his arm. "Ugh, Jonghyun!"

Jonghyun continued to laugh and continuously slap his knee. "Sorry, seriously though. He was like… 'Are you two really together?'. Of course I said yes, but I think he's got suspicions. I'm not sure though," Jonghyun stated in a more serious and believable tone.

"So what do we do?" asked Jonghyun. He stroked his chin, as if there were hairs on it.

"Let's keep on going on like we have for the past 7 hours. We'll be fine," I replied calmly. The seatbelt light turned on. 

"This is your captain speaking. We are experiencing some turbulence. Please put on your seatbelt. We will be arriving in Los Angeles, California for a load transfer and gas refueling. We expect to reach there in about 2 hours." And with that last statement the captain was off the air.   

My hand, the same one that was still holding onto Jonghyun's hand, twitched. Turbulence? That's almost as bad as take off! "Don't tell me your scared of turbulence too?" Jonghyun asked.

I turned my head towards him. "Yeah, almost as much as I'm scared of take offs," I mumbled. He let go of my hand and put his arm around my shoulders. Then, he held my free hand. His shoulder was warm and I could smell the scent of his cologne.

"You have nothing to be scared about," he said smiling at me. His smile was so warm and comforting…

The turbulence shook the plane, Ms. Anorexic screamed fake screams a few times, (She wanted Onew to hold her, I can tell), and Onew told her to shut up a few more times. Surprisingly, none of these things really bothered me, cause I felt safe… in a stranger's arms…
