SOULMATES

Description

Soul-Mates by SQUALL

"To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; bolt it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket - safe, dark, motionless, airless - it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable... The only place outside Heaven where you can be perfectly safe from all the dangers of love... is Hell." C.S. Lewis

Foreword

Not all stories about love were written for the sole purpose of boasting the heart’s adventurous rides. A few of them were written to inspire and very few were written just to fulfill dreams. Everyone on this planet has a love story to tell, in realistic experience or in absolute fantasy.

This story, however, is just a written desire to make true an unfulfilled dream. It is in some ways realistic. It is real because it comes from a dream, a wish for something to become tangible. The most fascinating love stories, I believe, are those that come from fairy-tales, fiction, and dreams. By far the greatest of these do not come from the work of a singular mind. It comes from the society, the whole human social mind though of course it comes from inspirations within the author or from another foreign soul…

The greatest dream also comes from two souls, two different lives that somehow found a way to unite together in a fascinating reverie that entwines hearts. It may or may not come true, just as dreams themselves are just fancy. This story was written so that the memories of this dream may remain forever, fulfilled in its destiny in the minds of those who will read it.
