And I You

Description

A terrible car accident leaves Sunny shaken and unable to dance like she used to, though she is finally recovering - physically, mentally, and emotionally.  But, she still can't complete the routine she and Sungmin were performing prior to her injuries.  All of her attempts so far have ended in failure and tears.  Ever supportive and always at her side, can Sungmin finally help Sunny finish the dance and move on?

Foreword

Annoyed, Sunny huffed and tossed the tail of hair behind her shoulder as she glanced in the mirror, eyes darting up to the clock in the reverse image.  She her lips slowly, fingers twining together before her.  Blinking in a controlled measure, coffee orbs drifted to the smudged window, one thin brow rising as she watched the sunlight continue to stream in through the see-through panes.  Despite the overhead lights, motes of golden dust danced where natural illumination streamed in, mirroring languid fairies that sparkled once, twice, and then disappeared before another took its place.

“Just take your time,” Sungmin murmured while he angled his body to face her, arms lax at his side and feet in the ready position, though his head turned to follow her line of sight, watching as she did.  “There’s no rush.”  He caught his bottom lip between his teeth when he noticed her gaze fall to the floor, following an invisible trail to her feet before she closed her eyes, long lashes drawing shut as seen in her reflection.

“It’s not so hard,” she whispered as if to herself, lips pursing in mute worry.

I can't exactly tell you the inspiration/prompt for the story or it will give something away but I do hope you enjoy all the same.  With the exception of the idols (Sunny and Sungmin), this is entirely my own work and has not been based on any story or media interpretation so any similarities are completely coincidental.  Thank you!

Amazing poster done by Asphyxy from Beauty Lies Within Graphics.  You should seriously consider her if you need a poster!

Chapter 1: Oh good grief. I think you know this already but I am not much of a fan of SunSun couple, never have been actually, but that did not affect my enjoyment of this story. I was a little afraid it might, not gonna lie! lol.
I'll try my best to not leave spoilers!!! OTL.
I love the way their cnversation flows so well, it is as if they're playing off of one another as they speak. It feels very natural ad easy though there are a few things that do leave hints of the overlying theme. I won't say what because I don't want to spoil! But I guessed halfway through when their cnversation didn't quite match up: my mind caught on and I followed the rest of the story with that idea and it turned out to be correct. But really, this is very nicely done.
I love the wording you used at the beginning to paint the imagery of the studio: I can't remember the exact words but the bit about leaving memories on the glass panes really caught me and I think prepared my mind to catch on to the fact later on. But I love how you didn't overtly spill it, but you did give clues throughout for the reader who paid close attention.
All in all, great oneshot!

Chapter 1: OH my God... this was beautiful and wow, the end really shocked me like... I thought the accident had just injured her and hurt her self-confidence but nooope, turns out she lost her husband and dancing partner which just has me like- EEEEEEEEEEEK? Because this story was just written where you'd think Sungmin was alive and then at the end, BAM! Guess who's actually dead? I feel so sorry for my poor Sunny.

Stories about Sunny feel so rare so I may or may not have squealed. :D

Chapter 1: You cruel author! I was like checking your stories and I saw SunSun and I was delighted, because that will be my top ship. And then, and then... This! I demand a fluffy one shot of Sunny & Sungmin!
