Minho stifled a deep cry. “Aboeji, I will find her. I promise”
His dad smiled. He knows it’s time to say good bye. He held his dad’s hand. “ Say hi to Omma and Omoni for me” and embraced his dying father.
He felt his dad is not moving, his breathing stopped, eyes closed. He is gone.
His mission now is to find Park Shin Hye.
It’s like finding a needle in a haystack.
How can you find a person who doesn’t want to be found...
He never knew Park Shin Hye.
His Dad and Mrs. Park has been together for the past 10 years. 2 years after his mom died. She was his dad’s first love and he approved Mrs. Park as his second mother. He was 18 then. His dad loved her mother and was faithful to her until his last breath. But he know's he need someone. He wants his father to be happy.
Mrs. Park never really loved her husband. It was an arranged marriage but she love her daughter so much. Their marriage was full of pretences. She was never happy as a wife. When she saw Mr. Lee once again after so many years, her love for him still remains the same. She decided to go with him and leave her husband. Shin Hye was 15 then and Mr. Park brought her to the States despite their agreement that she will take her.
They didn’t saw Shin Hye again. Even until Mrs. Park died because of cancer, she never saw her daughter anymore.
Shin Hye was looking at the window. It’s her flight back to Seoul. It’s been 10 years. Her heart is still aching. So many questions in her mind. Where’s her mother, why did she left her, how lonely she was in the States. Who took her mother away from her, from her dad, the only person who understands her the most, or so she thought.
