“Jongdae,” Chanyeol says, awkwardly tapping the latter’s shoulder just as he darts out of the school gate.

He turns around and finds himself staring at the tall guy in bemusement. It is absolutely strange to see Park Chanyeol talking to him, whereas they are obviously neither friends nor acquaintances.

“What’s up?”

“Someone asked me to give this card to you,” he notes concisely and hands over the card to him.

Kim Jongdae

Jongdae skims through the card and could not help but be puzzled. He peers intently at how formal, almost like being written by a computer his name was carved in front of the card.

“Who gave you this?” he questions Chanyeol, tilting his head in curiosity.

“That person–” The dark, wavy-haired boy spins around and points his finger at the corner in front of the school, but to no avail. “He’s gone!”

“He’s gone?” A frown flits across his face. Several thoughts register his mind and he begins to question the mysterious card as he stares at it with utmost attention.

 “Do you remember how he looks like? Is he old or is he a student just like us?”

“I’m sorry, but I don’t remember a thing.” Chanyeol shakes his head helplessly. “I wasn’t paying much attention to him and only did what he asked me to do.”

“I see.” Albeit he is quite frustrated by his weak answer, deep inside, he knows he has no rights to put the blame to the Park guy. “Thanks, anyway.”

At the very least, Chanyeol racks his brain and does enlighten him with a speck of hint before he flees. “The only thing I saw is, his clothes. He wears school uniform and seems to be in the same age of us. However, he’s not from our school.”

Jongdae turns over the card upon his leaving and attentively reads the content.

Dear Kim Jongdae,

With your wide knowledge of IT, immense skill of data research & analysis and being dubbed as the next Bill Gates,

You are invited to flaunt your skills in the greatest game in the world;

CODE:BREAKER

Pack your luggage and meet the other four who are chosen based on their outstanding skills at the place that will be revealed later.

Till then and may the best player win.

“Enter, you are invited?” Seeing the back of the card only adds the fuel to the fire. He does not comprehend anything. His mind goes blank. “What does that suppose to mean?”

Regardless of the mysterious content, Jongdae knows he could not refute the invitation. He can feel it. Something big is coming into his way.

Author’s Note: Hello, I’m here again to fetch a raw level in which I have yet to delve deeper beforehand. At first, I had planned out to make a story where all the five characters are in an investigation team, solving cases that happen around the school. However, I changed my plan after I watched ‘Crime Scene’ and ‘The Genius’. Hence, it would make sense if my story has sheer similarities with the mentioned shows above. I hope you will join me in a new ride of excitement, mystery and suspense and of course, It would be fun and exciting if you decide to play games along with the players (:
