Setting The Boundaries

I Couldn't Stay Away

Saturday was Kyungsoo's favorite day of the week. Not only was he allowed to sleep in - because it was his day off - but he was also able to have a marathon of his favorite dramas that aired while he was working. Luckily he had recorded each and every one of them. He was halfway through one of the episodes, when his phone suddenly begins to ring, startling Kyungsoo, who lets out a groan.

How the hell had the nerve to disturb him at a time like this?

Pausing the television with the remote, Kyungsoo grabs that phone -Baekhyun, it read. Scratching his head, Kyungsoo raises an eyebrow, as the phone rings continuously. It was wierd for Baekhyun to being calling him. Especially on a Saturday. Baekhyun never called him on Saturdays. Saturdays were normallly busy work days for Baekhyun's cafe shop. Besides, Baekhyun would most likely just text Kyungsoo, if he was really desperate for attention. Nevertheless Kyungsoo answers the call. "He-"

"You little ." Baekhyun says, causing Kyungsoo to furrow his eyebrows. Did he do something wrong to upset Baekhyun? That's impossible considering the fact that Baekhyun had just returned to Korea after a long trip overseas -Japan to be more specific. Besides, the two haven't really had the time to hang out since Baekhyun's return. Kyungsoo shrugs. Maybe Baekhyun was just PMSing.

Again.

"What?"

"Why didn't you tell me you were dating Kim Jongin? The CEO of Kim Realtor Services!" Baekhyun continues, letting out his frustrations through the phone. Kyungsoo lets out a loud sigh.  "I thought we were best friends and that you trusted me with everything. And now that your finally dating someone you dont even tell me but instead you tell the whole world? I'm hurt-"

"How'd you even find out?"

"It's all over the news." Baekhyun bluntly replies. It takes Kyungsoo a couple of seconds just to register what Baekhyun had just said into his head. But after a while, Kyungsoo's immediate reaction is to grab the remote from the table and flip through the news channels before Kyungsoo stops precisely on a channel that showed Jongin sitting on a couch with an interviewer besides him.

"Baekhyun I'll call you later."

"Wait, Kyungsoo-"

After abruptly ending the call, Kyungsoo raises the volume of the television. The interview was short and the only thing that Kyungsoo had managed to understand was the 'yes, I'm in a relationship with one of my employes, Do Kyungsoo'. Gasping, Kyungsoo opens his mouth in utter shock. After the interview had ended, Kyungsoo facepalms himself. Why was he even in this mess? He thought that Jongin and he were only pretending to be in a relationship in front of Jongin's mom. Not the whole nation.

Jongin better have a good explanation on monday or Do Kyungsoo will be resigning.

Never in Kyungsoo's life had he been so happy that the weekends were finally over. Probably due to the fact that Luhan and Baekhyun kept calling and texting Kyungsoo in an attempt to make Kyugsoo spill the beans about his private relationship with Jongin. But now that it was finally monday, he couldn't wait to get to work and kick Jongin in the balls.

Kyungsoo didn't live very far from the company building and took him roughly 15 minutes to arrive. After paying for his taxi fee, Kyungsoo enters the building and notices cold stares eyeing him, as he walks past the receptionist desk and enters the elevator. Kyungsoo even heard some whispering to one another and pointing at him adding more to Kyungsoo's discontent.

As Kyungsoo gets out of the elevator, he gets greeted by Jongin's smirk. "Do you think this is funny? Why did you-"

Jomgin hushes him by holding his finger on Kyungsoo's mouth. As Jongin opens his mouth to speak, Kyungsoo bites hard on Jongin's finger. Jongin curses in response before Kyungsoo pushes him out of his way. Before he has a chance to leave, Jongin stops Kyungsoo by holding on to Kyungsoo's arm. "Did you forget you got promoted? Your my secretary from now on-"

"Secretary my ." Kyungsoo replies, shaking Jongin's hand off. "Stop touching me. If were going to make this 'relationship' work, there has to be rules. And the first rule is no skinship!"

"Okay." Jongin replies, cooly, as he instantly removes his hands from Kyungsoo. Jongin wipes his hands on his shoulder, before he turns his attention to Kyungsoo, who had a confused look on his face. "What is it?"

"Okay?" Kyungsoo repeats, almost in mockery. Kyungsoo was shocked. It was the first time Jongin  had actually agreed with him about something. Either Jongin didn't like skinship with Kyungsoo either or the latter was just in a very good mood today. But when was Jongin ever in a good mood?

"I already fired my old secretary and your new desk is next to my office. If you have any questions, don't ask me. I dont know anything about being a secretary so ask one of the other employes-"

"I have one question." Kyungsoo replies, interrpting Jongin. "Why-"

"My mom called me at night and said she didnt beleive that our relationship was real. So I thought if I said I was dating you in an interview, she would start seeing that this relationship was real."

"I dont see why you're trying so hard to prove that this relationship is real to her." Kyungsoo mutters under his breath.

"You don't know my mom, Kyungsoo." Jongin replies, harshly as he lets out a scoff. "If she wants something done, it'll be done. That's why she gets so mad when I cancel a date she arranged. She's persuasive and always gets her way. By the way she called me that night I could tell that she's already planing on ways to break us apart."

"I dont get it. Is that a good thing? Because if she's planning to break us up, I'm okay with it."

"Its a good thing. A very good thing." Jongin responds. "It means that she doesn't like you and wants us to break up. If I play it cool and suggest breaking up with you in exchange for my freedom, she'll most likely take the offer and then everyone's happy! My mom doesn't have to see you anymore and I get my freedom!"

"Wrong! Everyone's not happy! What about me? What do I get from this?" Kyungsoo questions, crossing his arms. "I'm letting you use me in exchange for what?"

"Nothing." Jongin scoffs. "I'm using you because your my employe. That's what employes are supposed to do follow the boss's commands."

"You little-" Kyungsoo was about to kick him, until Jongin moved to the side and smirked. "I hate you."

Jongin pinches his cheeks. So squisy. "You're so cute when your being an ."

"No skinship!" Kyungsoo shouts, in frustration. He couldn't take this conversation any longer so he made his way into his new office. The office was surprisingly bigger than the one he had before. But he wasn't complaining. The only complaint he had was having his office right next to Jongin's. Once he got there he took a wooden pencil and ripped it in half, imagining it to be Jongin. "Fine. If you want to play. Then let's play."

"Excuse me." A voice calls, causing Kyungsoo to look up. The male flashes a bright smile and bows politely. From the looks of it, the man was probaby very wealthy. Considering the fact that the individual was dressed in a suit and tie, the man probably owed a big successful buisness, just like Jongin. But unlike him, the guy actaully looked like he had morals. "I'm looking for Kim Jongin."

Why would such a nice, polite guy be looking for Jongin? Was the guy lost or was he just another guy trying to make buisness with him? However, before Kyungsoo could respond, Jongin enters the room. Kyungsoo hears Jongin gasp before enveloping the man into a quick hug. Who knew Jongin even had friends?

"Hyung, your back!" Jongin greets, happily, as he breaks the hug. "How was your studies abroad? I missed you. Everyone missed you."

The guy laughs, before patting Jongin's back. "I'll tell you all about it at lunch. You're not busy are you?"

"Of course not! My secretary here can do my work in the meantime, anyways. Isn't that right, Kyungsoo?" Jongin bats his eyes innocently, causing Kyungsoo to glare. If looks could kill, Jongin would've been dead by now.

"Great! Let's go Chanyeol hyung."

-

"Wasn't that Do Kyungsoo? The guy you mentioned as your boyfriend in an interview?" Chanyeol asks, as he twirls the wine in his glass. After the two left Jongin's office, they went to Jongin's favorite Italian resteraunt to have a late lunch together. Of course you needed to have a reservation to enter the resteraunt but as for Kim Jongin a reservation was certainly unnecessary.

"So you've been keeping up with me. Huh?" Jongin laughs.

"He's cute." Chanyeol bluntly replies, causing Jongin to almost spit out his wine in response. Cute? Are they talking about the same Kyungsoo? The same Kyungsoo that almost resembled Satan? Kyungsoo was not cute. "I'm glad you finally found someone. I couldn't believe it at first because you've never really liked company."

"What about you? Did you find someone while you were abroad?"

Chanyeol nods shyly. "I met someone while I was in Japan. It was a considence though because we were both foreigners who didn't know how to get directions."

"So are you dating him? A long distance relationship must be hard."

"I'm not dating him." Chanyeol sadly replies, as he lets out a soft sigh. "I was supposed to meet up before I left but my father sent me back to Korea in a hurry. So I never said goodbye."

"Maybe it was fate that you didn't get to say goodbye. Maybe you guys will meet again."

Chanyeol smils slightly. "Yeah, maybe."

-

"He expects me to finish this while he's out having fun? I dont even speak French."

Kyungsoo wanted to cry. While Jongin was having lunch with his friend, Kyungsoo was in his office trying to finish the work that Jongin left for him. Worst of all most of the files were either in English, Chinese, or French. Kyungsoo could barely speak in Korean so how does Jongin expect him to read in French?

"Bonjo-" Kyungsoo groans before he slams the files on his desk. "Forget it."

"Its pronounced Bonjour. And it means hello." A voice told him, causing Kyungsoo to look up and see another handsome man in front of him. Was today his lucky day or did God just want to send handsome guys to Kyungsoo for fun? Not like he minded it though.

"Thanks."

"I'm Suho. Jongin's cousin." The male says, as he extends his hand out towards Kyungsoo. Shaking the hand, Suho froms a wide grin. "And you must be Kyungsoo."

Kyungsoo blinks. "How do you know my name?"

"Well I do watch the news to find out about what's happening to this company. I am part of it." Suho chucks, casually leaning against the door. "Jongin's a nice guy. I'll trust him with you from now on."

"If you ever need my help. My office is just across from here." Kyungsoo nods.

After a couple of small talk, Suho decides it was best to leave so that the two would continue on with their unfinished work. Kyungsoo scratches his head. If Jongin's friends and cousin were so nice how come Jongin was such an ? And what did Suho mean by Jongin was a nice guy? Jongin was anything but nice. Whatever. He didn't want to think about Jongin anymore. Besides, whenever he thinks about him, it only stresses him out and causes his blood to boil. Plus, Kyungsoo needed to get back to work anyways. Maybe Google translator can help him out. It helped him pass English when he was still in highschool so maybe it can help him out with today's work.

Kyungsoo is suddenly interrupted when he hears his phone ringing. Why does everyone keep bothering him today? He groans, for the millionth time today and reaches inside of his pockets to retrieve his phone. The caller ID read Baekhyun. "I swear if your calling to ask about Jongin-"

"Can we meet?" Baekhyun sniffs, alarming Kyungsoo. Had Baekhyun been crying? He was fine yesterday...

"What's wrong?"

"Please just come over. I cant explain through the phone." Baekhyun replies, breaking into yet another sob. "I really need you right now."

"Okay, stay where you are! Don't move."

A/N: So you guys are finally introduced to Chanyeol and Suho! Yay! But what happened to Baekhyun? Is he hurt? And I can totally relate to Kyungsoo in this fanfic because I always record dramas so I could have a marathon during the weekends. What are your favorite dramas? Because the drama I was watching ended and now I have nothing else to watch. Comment and help me out! Also keep reading I Couldn't Stay Away because there's a lot still needing to unfold.
