Too Far Out

Description

Lizzy Kwela or Kwon Li Ji, as she was named after moving to Korea three moths ago, has never been one to hang around after school, or talk to any of the other people surrounding her on a daily basis. They alway came to her, always bothered her, and alway wanted to know about her. She never asked for any of the attention that she got from all her peers. It just so happened, that without even trying, she became popular at school.

Liji has always been a high scorer in all her grades most subjects. She just couldn't help the fact that she did everything well. Everything she touhed would turn into gold in an instant and her life was just SO perfect.

At least that's what everyone thought.

To Liji, life was just a fleeting thing. She lived it accordingly and tried her best in everything, but it always seemed that her best was never enough for her overly expectant parents.

You see, Liji was an exchange student, all the way from South Africa and she had to change all that she knew to fit in as part of this new society she now lived in. She was fair skinned and she thanked the Lord for that because being black, she could only imagine the horrors she would have had to face living in such a low tolerance country as Korea. She could speak the language well, her parents had seen to that when they forced her to take extra language classes in not only Korean, but Japanese and Chinese instead of having a social life back when she still lived with them in SA. She had no friends back in her home country. Only nightmares of all her bad experiences at the hands of her peers.

She had spent the beginnings of her high school life being teased as a blackanese wanna be, amoung having a number of other things done to her for that very reason. People back where she came from didn't like her because they thought she always made as though she was better than them. Her life in SA was hell.

And so, after a few months of living in a new country,a place where she could get a new beginning and where most accepted her despite the fact that she didn't want to be there, she found that her greatest dream and worst nightmare  had been watching her since she had arrived.

He was there, lurking in the shadows, just waiting for the oppertune moment to pounce and send her fairly peaceful life in South Korea spiraling down the drain that was her life as a whole.

Han Lu, or as he was generally known, Luhan, was to be her biggest obsticle in life. He would take her to an emotional place she wished she'd never have to go again until all of her past sadnesses would haunt her to breaking point.

Lu han, would be the biggest challenge of her life in South Korea.

Her biggest enemy

Her biggest fear

Her truest friend and...

Her biggest love

Foreword

I didn't expect that this would ever be something I would write about but it happened.

It's based on some of the fears I've had in the past, being black and all, about how I would get treated if I were to move to South Korea.

Liji is just an interpretation of me so please don't assume that everything I write here is based on reality. Most of it will be pure fiction. I'll just be using my own name for my OC in this fic and some of my past experiences.

So...

I hope this interests you and you subscribe, comment, upvote, recommend and join me on this journey to another world for our dear Liji.

She'll need all the support she can get to please

SUBSCRIBE & COMMENT & most of all... ENJOY!! :}

Wow, you actually went and wrote something taken from your own fears. That must be scary for you.

Chapter 7: I can imagine how hard it is to be in a foreign country when you suddenly realise you can't trust anyone. I hope Luhan turns out to be a true friend. What is their deal with her anyway?

Chapter 7: I agree with kellajae about this chapter. That's some painful reality and even more so when the girls don't say anything

Chapter 6: These updates are so short. Not to dissuade you in anyway. Its just an observation. They're like little puffs of story that come quite rarely. Other than that I like this story . It seems typical but I like the simplicity which is why I stay. Work hard. Don't take the criticism too hard, or don't take it all.
