“Yah! What are you smiling at?” Yuri noticed Hyoyeon’s cheerful mood.

 

She went near the tanned girl and gently whispered. “I’m going on a date with Hyukie.”

 

“Goodluck then. Let’s focus here for now.”

 

They were browsing catalogues to choose the design of their gowns.

 

“We must be on our best for that occasion.” Compared to other girls, Tiffany was detail-oriented and looked very carefully.

 

Taeyeon shook her head while flipping through the pages. “I can’t believe we’re now choosing what to wear for Jessica’s wedding. She’s gonna be a married woman soon.”

 

“But that doesn’t mean her career will end, I’m sure.” Sunny sighed. “Ah, I hope all of us have happy endings.”

 

“I can imagine what we will look like on Jessica-unnie’s wedding. We’ll surely look good with black gowns! We’re eight lovely bridesmaids.” Yoona clasped her hands.

 

“I can also imagine the food on the buffet table. I’m a hundred and fifty percent sure that cucumbers are forbidden on her wedding.” Sooyoung smirked.

 

All the girls looked upon Seohyun’s weird face. “Unnies, are sweet potatoes banned also?”

Eunhyuk honked his car to greet Hyoyeon as she made her way out of their apartment. She dressed up with simple winter clothes and a cap.

 

“So where are we going now?” she asked him while fixing her seatbelt.

 

Eunhyuk sweetly smiled. “We’re going to the zoo.”

 

“You must have missed your relatives on the anchovy pond.” Hyoyeon joked.

 

He kissed her on the cheek. “Aniyo, I miss you more.”

There were few people on the zoo, most are lovers like them. Wearing their caps, they walked along the entrance of Seoul Grand Park. There were ducks enjoying a splash on the cold waters. Other parks of the lake were covered with ice but the animals seem to be fine with it.

 

“My brother and I used to run on this bridge when we were young.” She told him.

 

Eunhyuk giggled. “I remember telling my father to catch a duck here so we could roast it at home.”

 

They laughed together as they recall their fondest memories of the place.

 

An ahjumma approached the couple and poked Hyoyeon.

 

“You are a celebrity, right?” The old woman asked her. “My son is your huge fan.”

 

Hyoyeon and Eunhyuk looked at each other as if to say OMONA! We’re busted! Ottokhae, ottokhae...

 

The ahjumma kept on eyeing her. “I can’t be wrong. I always see you on TV.”

 

“A-are you sure it’s m-m-me?” Hyoyeon faked a smile while rubbing her nape. Eunhyuk watched in horror as the ahjumma faced his girlfriend. He chose to stay quiet than to be rude.

 

“AHA! I know you!” The ahjumma’s face lightened up. “You’re SONG HYE GYO!” she exclaimed.

 

The couple felt like cracking up but they managed to keep calm.

 

“I’m sorry, ahjumeoni. I’m not Song Hye Gyo. You see, my hair is different.” Hyoyeon showed her blonde hair.

 

“Oh... mianhaeyo,  my mistake. I’m really sorry.” The old woman walked away.

 

The two exploded in laughter. “Whew! False alarm!”

“Tigers are much active when it’s cold, eh?” Eunhyuk saw the feline animals and approached them. He was holding hands with Hyoyeon while walking.

 

One of the tigers came close and roared loud.

 

“Aaaaaaaaah!”  Hyoyeon hugged her boyfriend and hid her face on his chest.

 

Eunhyuk giggled. “I wish the tiger would roar again.” He loves it when she’s hugging him.

 

Hyoyeon punched straight on his stomach. “You’re a bad oppa.”

 

“But you won’t hug me if you’re not scared.” He pouted.

 

“That’s because you sweat like hell Lee Hyukjae!” She stuck out her tongue. “But since it’s wintertime, I’ll hug you as you wish.”

 

They came across the bears that were eating by the meantime.

 

“Aren’t they cute? They really like to eat sweets.” Hyoyeon marvelled on the cubs.

 

“Stay away from them!” Eunhyuk grabbed her by the waist. “You’re the sweetest in the world and they’ll definitely eat you!”

 

“Jongmal?” She uttered with overflowing aegyo. Kekeke, I know he can’t resist this.

 

“Neh, jongmal.” Eunhyuk loves his girl’s eagyo. “Kim Hyoyeon, my sweet dancing queen.”

 

“I want to ride that chairlift.” She pouted while pointing on the ride.

 

True to her thoughts, he easily gave in. “Arasso! Gaja!”

 

A panoramic view of the zoo can be seen from the chairlift.

 

“Wah, it’s nicer here. We don’t need to walk to see the animals.” Hyoyeon clapped her hands with glee.

 

“Don’t move too much! We might fall! I’ve seen something like this on a movie. The characters were stuck on a chairlift for days in the middle of a forest and the hungry wolves were waiting below them!”

 

His girlfriend slapped his forehead. “What are you talking about? The chairlift isn’t moving yet! We’re still here at the starting line!”

 

Eunhyuk had a sheepish laugh. “Is that so? Mianhae.” He kissed her cheek and giggled like a shy boy.

 

Little by little, the chairlift began to move forth.

 

Hyoyeon rolled her eyes. Sometimes his childish antics make her heart rattle. “Saranghae Lee Hyukjae.” She rested her head on his shoulder.

 

“I love you too, my sweet choding.” Eunhyuk felt somewhat guilty because he wasn’t able to spend too much time with her. They seldom meet due to hectic schedules, plus the inconvenience of dating secretly. He feels too lucky to have Hyoyeon, and there’s no way he’s going to let her go. “Thank you for being my girlfriend.”

 

She blushed and teasingly slapped his arm. “You’re making me blush on a winter day. All for you, my dancing king.”

 

“How I wish we could stay like this forever.” The guy sighed.

 

Hyoyeon nodded. “It’s up to you. Better be a good boy if you want that to happen.”

 

He nodded back and raised his right hand. “I, Lee Hyukjae, do solemnly swear to be a good boyfriend and never to play naughty games. I will love Kim Hyoyeon with all my heart. I will give her the world and even my monthly salary if she asks me to. With the sun and the skies as witnesses, I promise.”

 

One of the reasons why I love him so much is because he’s good at keeping promises. She raised an eyebrow and folded her arms. “Don’t say it. DO IT.”  Hyoyeon doesn’t like to show him her soft side too much. That’s how it is, she’s tough, stoic, and cool. Behind her feisty aura lies a girl who is truly, madly, deeply in love.

 

“Look at me Lee Hyukjae.”

 

“Wae?”

 

“Just look at me!”

 

The guy willingly obeyed. “What is it?”

 

She pulled his collar and briefly kissed his lips.

 

Eunhyuk was at a loss of words. He simply stared at his girlfriend in surprise.

 

Hyoyeon smirked, “You better pay attention next time.”
