You're my Melody

"When we met I told you I could be a very selfish man; I want to be selfish now." He takes her hand in his, long fingers slowly intertwining with hers briefly before he turns her hand, palm up, his thumb mindlessly drawing small circles on her open palm. His other hand disappears inside his pocket, pulling something out small enough to fit inside his clenched hand. He takes a step closer, a boyish grin playing on his lips. "This has been traveling around with me for the past week, I don't know why I waited so long to do this, but I...”

Dark, piercing eyes find hers again and she forgets how to breathe, her heart racing frantically in her chest. He’s looking at her like he did the very first time they met so many years ago; as if she was the most beautiful thing in the world he had ever see. As if he already knew deep in his heart, even then, that she would be his someday, one way or another.  Her knees threaten to give out from under her and there’s no helping the delicious, thrilling chill down her spine. Those eyes would be her death one day, of that she was sure.  When he speaks again his voice is sure and strong, smooth as velvet and absolutely intoxicating.

“I want you all to myself."

And with that he lays a pair of beautiful, delicate, matching silver rings on her open hand, a soft, almost shy smile replacing the playful grin from only moments before. “Park Bom-ssi, will you do me the honor of officially becoming my girlfriend?”

He watches as her pretty brown eyes widen in shock and her full pouty lips form a small "O" in surprise, and SeungHyun wants nothing but to kiss her right then and there. But before he can act on his impulses she throws herself at him, her arms tightly wrapped around his neck in a bone crunching hug.  

“Noona?” he chuckles, his arms automatically wrapping around her small waist and lifting her off her feet, relief and joy flooding through him. The petite girl in his arms feels her heart soar for what it seems the hundredth time that evening. She’s still holding onto him after her feet touch the ground again, her face buried between the crook of his neck and shoulder.

"I thought I'd never hear you say those words." Her voice is muffled; her breath a warm caress on his neck and it’s his turn to shiver.

"Babo~ya." he says, pulling her away just enough to kiss her brow before looking her straight in the eye "I've never been good with words, but I think my actions have said enough about my intentions with you." He's blushing, he knows, but the lovely glow that settles on her cheeks is worth the embarrassment. In answer to his words she leans over and kisses him once, twice, and again, as if to reassure herself this really is happening and not just another fabrication of her imagination.   

"Will you put my ring on then?" she says, smiling against his lips. He does as he’s bid, taking her hand in his once again before slipping the smallest of the two rings on her fourth finger. The other ring he quickly slips on his own finger, holding it up for her inspection as she holds up hers, her smile just as brilliant and big as his. He pulls her in for another kiss before intertwining his hand with hers, silver rings shinning softly under the fairy lights hanging all over the balcony. Music from the ingoing party drifts through the closed French doors, reminding them both of their celebrity duties. Escaping an engagement party was not an easy feat, especially when one was the best man and the other the main solo performer for the evening. Someone must’ve surely noticed their absence by now.

"We should head back to the party soon, Se7en-Hyung is probably wondering where his best man and his wedding singer ran off to. Plus, I want to show you off, you look so beautiful tonight in that green dress, Bommie-ah."

"Yah~ Choi SeungHyun-ah, flattery will get you nowhere, you still owe me that dance you promised. I haven't forgotten!" he has to laugh at the adorable challenging pout she gives him while eyeing him suspiciously under long lashes. “So don’t even try it, Tabi.”

"I was hoping the couple rings would help you forget all about that.” He admits sheepishly, and she slaps him playfully on his arm. “How about we do it here, right now?  He bows before her in an exaggerated manner, like a prince would in front of a princess, and she beams at him, loving every second of it. The soft notes of the DBSK’s ‘넌나의노래(You're My Melody)’ start to play as he takes her by the hand and pulls her against him, one hand snaking around her small waist and the other holding her hand to his chest, right below his heart.

“I know we have to go back eventually but…” she breathes in his scent, allowing herself to get completely lost in him, in this moment. “Can we stay here, just a little bit longer? For just one dance, can we just…” she trails off, looking at him with wide pleading eyes and he feels any resolve to leave shatter at the sight. There was nothing he could refuse her.

“We’ll stay as long as you want to,” he reassures her, kissing her brow before lowering his gaze to hers. “As long as you’re with me, nothing else matters.”

Unknown to the enamored couple dancing on the fourth floor balcony of the Yang mansion, cramped together and all glued to the same bedroom window, Big Bang spies on.

"You would think he was asking her to marry him." a disgusted Seungri grunts, leaving the window. “And people say I'm the dramatic one of the group-ha!"

That earns him a slap on the head from JiYong. "Shut up Panda. And don't you dare say a word to TOP about this, arasso? If he finds out we were spying on him and noona, he'll have all of our heads on spikes before the night is over."

"I don’t know why hyung was so nervous about asking Bom-noona to begin with, they--"Daesung says, still looking out the window. "Oh! Oh, they’re walking back to the party; Time to go!!" and with that he sprints towards the door, the rest of Big Bang hot on his heels.

"We are so dead." Taeyang says, quickly grabbing his pristine white suit from the bed before running after Daesung. "If TOP-hyung realizes we're missing from the party…."

"If he glares at me just once I'm telling him it was all Ji-hyung's idea" Seungri chirps in, earning him another smack in the head from GD. 

"A-PA-Y0, HYUNG!" he whines, rubbing the back of his head as he turns to look at GD, a pout on his lips. "But it was your idea! Aigoo, the press is going to have a field day tomorrow. Big Bang's T.O.P and 2NE1's Park Bom officially dating, while the rest of the Big Bang members are mysteriously found dead in their beds. This world really is too cruel."
