Red Velvet (레드벨벳) is a new, South-Korean girl group produced by SM entertainment. The group consisted of five members; Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, Joy, and Yeri. Except Joy, the other four members were parts of a predebut team, 'SM Rookies'. The group's concept was said to be in between their labelmates, F(x) and SNSD, more mainstream style. Red Velvet released 'Happiness' music video as well as debuted on the stage on August 1, 2014. Due to controversies, the video was deleted and reuploaded without controversial scenes on August 3.
