“Good morning, sir.” The loyal assistant bows down to a certain degree after he closes the door shut.

“Good morning,” he answers airily and rolls his eyes inquiringly. “Did you manage to get what I’ve requested yesterday?”

He nods and places a brown-colored envelope onto his desk. “I’ve compiled everything, sir. There are four students altogether – two male and two females.”

“Indeed, you are my best advocate.” The Keeper has a smug smile spread across his face. Enthusiastically, he later unfolds the envelope and begins to skim through each of the given profiles.

“They surely are prominent throughout the school,” he throws a brief comment, eyes involuntarily locking at the last profile. “And this one, she’s famous, right? I’ve seen her act in a lot of popular dramas.”

“You’re right, sir,” he agrees. “She has been a child actress since the tender age of 7. A lot of dramas went into great success because of her.”

“Oh, I see.” He nods and lets out a sardonic laugh. “But it’s unfortunate that we wouldn’t get to see her in dramas again soon. How poor she is.”

“What about their schedules? Did you include them as well?” he adds inquisitively.

“No yet, sir. I haven’t been able to attach together. Please give me one more day and I promise you I will settle everything at once.”

“Alright then. I’ll extend the dateline until tomorrow. Make sure to hand it on my desk sharp at 8 am.”

“I will, sir.”

“And speaking of which, have you settled things with our very transfer student?”

“You mean, Kim Myungsoo-ssi?”

The Keeper grins. “Yes.”

“I have asked him but he has yet to give his agreement. Perhaps he is still in the midst of deep thoughts, I suppose.”

“Did you, by any chance, have spoken about the price we have offered him for the task?”

“I have, sir.”

He fiddles the tip of his finger at the edge of the desk, trying to digest what the transfer student’s answer would be. Would he agree to compromise or would he not?

Regardless of everything, the Keeper has imagined that everything would go according to his plan. Kim Minseok’s greatest wish to have his friend, Lu Han, destroyed will be accomplished at all costs.

Author’s Note: After a few months of preparation, here comes the sequel of ‘I Hear Your Voice’. To those who have not read the predecessor, please do so because you will end up getting confused of the storyline. In this series, Lu Han will lead a new life and finds himself trapped in an unexpected maze. New characters will come out as the story goes and I think that’s all.
