Life With A Geek (엽기적인 그대)
Description
Taeyeon is a nuclear physics researcher, who lives together with her parents trying to match her demanding job with her family life and duties as an older sister. She’s indeed in charge of babysitting her eleven years old Yoona. Having shown to be too inattentive and irresponsible to take care of both Yoona and her job, her parents decide to hire a real babysitter, Sunny. The newcomer will turned out to be the most annoying and disturbing person on the planet, and yet their relationship will take an unexpected twist.
This story will be presented to the "Shoot A Moovie" contest, and it will be a free reinterpretation of the popular korean movie "My Sassy Girl". Note that I am not giving out the ownership of this story. I still own all the content published in this framework.

Foreword
I woke up in the dawn of a sunny day, clasping the soft edges of my silky pillows.
The sunrays blended the azure of my room’s walls in delicate stripes of rosy light through the embroidered curtains, warming the environment and gently tingling her senses.
A faint smell of incense filled the air.

“What’s that?” – Sunny asked, hinting at the whiteboard with a cheeky giggle.
I tried to ignore the veiled mockery that hid behind her contrived interest, and proudly lingered my gaze on my life’s work.
I’d been working for months on the equations that lay on the surface of the board.
“That’s my job” – I replied in a dreamy voice – “I’m developing a new elegant theory to explain how the Higgs mechanism gives mass to the fundamental particles”
Sunny slowly nodded at her with a confused look.
In the earlier stages of my academic path, it would have annoyed me but then I was getting used to the poor attention that people directed to my work.
“Basically, I study the reason why matter exists” – I added, trying to sound less professional.
The weird girl nodded in reply.
“That looks like a bum” – She chuckled, pointing at a big lowercase omega in the centre of my endless calculations.

“Who’s Yuri” – The weirdo inquired.
“Taeyeon’s girlfriend” – Yoona mocked, a smirk forming on her face – “But mommy doesn’t like her because she says Yuri shoots people for a living”.
“Yuri’s a police officer” – I clarified – “And she doesn’t shoot anyone unless necessary”.
Sunny gave me a nod of understanding.
“So... is it, like, serious or do your just catch up with her to spend the night?” – She winked, making me quite annoyed.
“None of your business” – I hissed – “And this is not the right place to talk about this kind of things, is it?” – I remarked, hinting at my young sister.
