Chasing the Impossible
Description
In which Luhan is running after something, but never actually reaching it.
~*~
The game of love is played by two; one who is standing still and one who is desperate enough.
Every relationship builds on dedication and will.
Often, at least one of them gets hurt.
And it just so happened that Luhan has been the one running after something he could not reach, something that was far too hard to get a hold of.
~*~
Based on a true story, this is a tale about someone who wanted a life much different than the one they lived.
Foreword
Luhan could faintly hear noise through his earplugs and he didn’t quite appreciate his peace being poked by the outside world. Kyungsoo had yet to come and although his desk was empty at the moment, the one in front of him was buzzing with people. Scowling at the sounds, he looked up from the notebook he used mainly to scribble nonsense in, and stretched his hand to grab his cell phone off the desk.
However, what he saw was not what he expected.
His eyes locked with a pair of big, brown and beautiful. The person was standing just a little farther from the desk in front of his, and he had never felt himself freeze like this before. The young man, around his age, was wearing sports clothing and as much as it was simple and monotonous, Luhan wasn’t sure how he looked so good in it. His hair was cut short and a nice shade of brown, strands flying from here and there and his form thin yet at the same time muscular.
It did take a while for Luhan to look away but in the end, he casted his eyes on his cell phone, grabbing it and trying to act as if he wasn’t staring—it was useless though, he had been caught red-handed by the unknown brunette and he had still kept staring. He could feel his chest ache by the speed his heart was pumping in and God, he was afraid. He was afraid because this was unnatural and this was not something he had felt before. This was not even a good and logical reaction. Especially after a year of feeling nothing.
But he found himself throwing subtle glances at the brunette under his cap, half mind wanting to approach the other, but he didn’t know what to say either. It wasn’t till Kyungsoo came that he calmed his breath down.

*Events in the story are either based on or inspired by real ones. Words might not be entirely spot-on, but the content is the same. It's basically 90% slightly altered real events in here.*
Note: In this fic I will use the fake name of Luhan's which is the surname Xi. I know it's not his real name but, I just needed to use a surname and I really didn't want to break Luhan in two.
Well, here's the anticipated (I hope) story! I have been going on and on about it for so long and it's finally posted, and I can't be any happier! ^^ Please welcome a new Angst (full-on, this time) with a good handful of drama on the side and very, very little Romance. It's the second Xiuhan story I'm writing and I'm excited after what Strays appeared to be!
I hope you'll enjoy it just like my other Xiuhan story! Subscribe, upvote, comment~ I appreciate everything, but the comments are always something I love to receive, read and reply to~<3
By the way, pardon my edit here as well. x3 I did my best and I'll keep that (unfortunately) until I get my **** straight and finally order a graphic from somewhere (>_<) Also, the typo is fixed. I just face-palmed myself to oblivion.
