Donghae's eyes settled on the piece of yellow-ribbon bound clothing stuffed at the very back of his closet and paused.

There's a shirt in here . . .?

He took the fabric from its abandoned place near the wooden wall of the piece of furniture and tugged the long, yellow ribbon tie free then carefully unrolled the shirt from its folded state, curiousity and familiarity nagging at the back of his brain. The deep, fold lines all over the cloth suggested that it hasn't seen the light ever since . . . well, who knows. It might be months, or even years since he last saw it.

The moment he saw what is written in big, bold letters, he understood that niggling feeling in his mind. As soon as he saw the words written, flashes of late night dance practices, nine differently coloured jeans and the loud cheers of the crowd and then her approving smile flashed through his mind all at once. A sudden case of nostalgia hit him and his mind took him back to that time when they performed their song in their second Super Show . . . and their dance practices before that - specifically the one he had with SNSD's Visual just so he can perfect her moves.

"You don't really have to spend this much time trying to perfect my moves, oppa. I know you guys would just fool off onstage and the dance won't matter."

"But I wanted to! And I enjoy doing your parts!"

"Psh, arasseo. Ke, now back to the chorus part! Ppali fishy-ah!"

Donghae sat at the edge of his bed as he clenched the shirt tightly, his eyes staring off at the distance as his mind replayed the memories. In his brain, he absently registered the fact that he just stuffed the shirt at the very back before, back then when things were so 2009, back when his feelings do not surpass that clear line . . . only to dig it up again now that things have changed, when it isn't ever the same again.

Oh, the painful, painful comparison . . .
