After the Concert

Be With Me (EDITING)

Your POV:

The concert ended with their goodbyes and everyone started making their way out of the building.  I gathered all of my stuff and began walking to the backstage area once the venue was pretty much empty.  The guards, who stood by the door to backstage, stopped me from going in.  I showed them my pass, but they thought that it was a fake.

"This is a real pass," I told them and held out the pass.  "Baekhyun himself gave it to me."

They just shook their heads at me.  "I'm sorry miss, but I'm going to have to ask you to leave," one of the guards said.

"But this is a real pass..."

"Leave, before we use force."

I sighed.  "I-It's real, though."

"It's true," a voice said.

I looked up onto the stage and found Joonmyeon standing there watching over us.  He walked down the stairs and came to where we were and stood next to me.

"Baekhyun gave this pass to her.  And she's our friend," he explained.

"Oh... I'm sorry.  We didn't know that you guys gave out passes," one of them apologized.

"Now then.  Please, let us through."

They moved aside and allowed us to go through.  Joonmyeon held onto my hand and lead me to the rest area.  As we were walking through the halls, I quietly thanked him.  He looked to me and smiled.  Then when we made it to the room he let go of my hand and said that he needed to change.  I nodded my head and walked over to the other guys.

"Noona!" Sehun yelled.

"Hi, Sehun," I greeted him.

"Come over here.  You must be hungry."

"No, it's okay.  I'm fine."

"Just come and eat with us," I heard a voice say.

"Oh, hey, oppa," I said when I looked up and saw Jongdae standing there.

"Did you like the concert?" he asked.

"Yeah!  It was amazing!"

"Really?  Thanks....  Now, come on.  Let's finish up your kimbap that you made for us."

I shook my head, but he wasn't going to take no as an answer.  He got up from where he was sitting, and grabbed my hands.  I had no choice but to follow, especially since he was pulling me along.  He sat me down where he was sitting and continued to eat.  They were all eating the kimbap and it made me smile because they seemed to be enjoying it.

"Areum-ah, go ahead and eat," Minseok told me and smiled.

I smiled back and nodded my head.

"Your kimbap is amazing!" Kai exclaimed.

"I'm glad that you guys like it," I said.

Chen's POV:

After Areum was finished talking, I fed her a kimbap.  She looked at me shyly and started blushing.  I smiled and continued eating because it was just so good.  It was like the best kimbap that I've ever tasted.

As we ate, I thought back to what Baekhyun had said before.  Areum may be poor, but she's the nicest person alive.  Everything about her is perfect from her personality to her cute looks, but I guess some people just don't understand.  Then my mind drifted off to other things, such as... having her as a wife... but, having her as a girlfriend would be nice, too.

Without even noticing, I was smiling to myself as I watched her talk with the members.  Then Yixing brought me back to my senses.  I shook my head and looked at him.

"You like her don't you?" he whispered to me and gave me a wink.

"H-huh?  N-no, I don't..." I said.

He laughed at me.  "The way you were looking at her just now, said something.  You don't have to lie to me.  Hyung can keep it a secret for you."

I sighed.  "Hyung...  I like her, but I don't think she likes me in the same way."

"You never know, she can always change her mind."

"I guess, you're right.  But keep it a secret, okay?"

"Okay, okay.  I'm going to go change now.  I'll be back."

I nodded my head and then went to eating with the rest of them.  We finished the food and got ready to head back to the dorm.

Baekhyun's POV:

After eating the rest of the food that Areum made for us, I stood up and gathered my things.  Once I was done stuffing all my things into my bag, I scanned the room for Areum.  I found her on her phone, sitting on the same couch that she was sitting on before.  I plopped down next to her and laid my head on her shoulder.

"What are you doing?" she asked.

"Nothing," I replied, "I just wanted to sit next to my best friend."

"Whatever."  She pushed me off of her shoulder and I pouted.

"You're so mean to me.  Did you know that?"

"What?  How?"  She asked not taking her eyes off of her phone.

"Well," I began and looked over to her.  "See you're not even paying attention."

"I am.  Speak, Mr. Byun."

I used my hand and pulled her phone away from her.

"Hey!" she whined.

"How are you getting home tonight?" I asked and pushed away her grabby hands.

"I was going to call my brother."  She crossed her arms and frowned.

"Oh, I can drop you off.  Maybe we could have a sleepover because I don't have a schedule tomorrow."

"You don't have to, my brother doesn't mind.  Plus, we're not little kids anymore."

"Who said we have to be little kids to have a sleepover?"

"Me," she stated.  "Wouldn't you want to spend your free time with Taeyeon, anyway?"

"Yeah, but I haven't seen you in forever.  And why do you keep rejecting me?  Are you jealous?" I joked.

She was hesitant for a second, but then said, "No, I'm not jealous of Taeyeon dating an idiot."

"Hey!  Mean..."

"I'm just kidding.  I love you, best friend."

"Whatever."

"Now you're being mean, oppa..."

"That's what you get for being mean to me first," I said, trying to hold back my laugh.

She took her phone back and pushed me away.  I couldn't help but laugh at her little pout.  Then she picked up her phone and started to dial someone's number.  I immediately took her phone away and ended the call with whoever it was.

"Who were you calling?" I asked.

"My brother," she replied simply.

"No!  I'll drop you off.  Or how about you just stay over with us again?"

"I can't.  I'm busy."

"With what?"

"School things."

"Well, then I'll come over and hang out with you for tonight then since you don't like sleepovers."

"But-"

"No 'buts,' it's final.  I'll be sleeping at your house for tonight."

She sighed.  I smiled in victory because I knew I had won that argument.  Then as all of the members were climbing into the van, Areum and I got into the car that Jongdae had driven and went to pick her up in.  The first stop we made was at the dorm, so that I could get some clothes and such.  Then we drove off to her house.

(8/8/17)

Don't worry about Joonmyeon holding Areum's hand and all.  It was just a nice gesture I wanted to add in just because Joonmyeon is so boyfriend material and stuff (though I've never had a REAL boyfriend before, but I can always dream right???  Lol XD)  Anyways, hope you guys enjoyed reading this chapter!

And oh my god... school is going to start soon... I mean I still have a month to go, but I feel like it's going to end quick...  I don't want to go to school anymore!  Please help me... T_T

Chapter 31: She need to go back to school? So she did not finish college there?

I actually like Jongdae more than Baekhyun in this, he’s such a sweetheart and ultimately he’s there for her.

Chapter 29: That line I still like you, it confused me too, I thought that they never confessed to each other. So her telling that to Baekhyun means that he did know? Or I’m just assuming things?

Chapter 24: I read this in one go and I was planning to comment on the last chapter but I just can’t help myself because my head is starting to ache because of the drama of being poor.
I get that they are poor but then again I thought that she had graduated from the US, then why don’t she look a job that would fit what she finished in college? I mean if you’re a graduate from the US most probably you’d get a higher paying job. It’s stupid that she went to the US to study just to get home and get a part time job as an English tutor. Going to the US I though that it is through scholarship grant or whag but then I get that they paid for it, how poor are they in the first place if they get to send her to college in US but the daily life they can’t support. They are all working.
Her brother is already married why don’t he and his wife start a life of their own? Why live still with his parents, I got flabbergasted when the mom suggested abortion, you can swallow all that and say that you’d kill your own child?
Also for a poor person to have a two car, wooooow. They could just sell those to get money.
