Ever since the virus that broke out a few months ago spread, nothing was safe anymore. The streets weren't safe, and neither were the houses. Nowhere in particular was safe, they could find you at any place you were. The virus was spreading so fast it engulfed person by person, street by street, city by city, country by country. So far a quarter of Europe, all of Canada and a half of Asia were contaminated, including your hometown. That's how far it was spreading. It couldn't be stopped.

Those who weren't careful were either sacrificed to satisfy their never-ending hunger trying to escape and ending up as food, or having gave up and becoming one of them. Those who survived were supposed to be rescued and sent to a safe place, just like your family...but that never happened, that day never came. Your family waited but no salvation came. You were going low on food and water, and the blankets couldn't keep you warm anymore, as cold as it was getting, you wouldn't last for long.

And the day something finally did come, it was death itself.
