The next morning, you woke up in a different place than your room at home. *Where am I?* You looked around and recognized it as your old room. You felt an arm around your waist and looked back.

Jaejoong was deeply asleep.

*Oh yeah…* After kissing for hours last night, you and Jaejoong had fallen asleep in each other’s arms on your old bed. You reached out and gently touched his lips. A genuine smile formed on your face. *I’ve never felt so happy in months, I think.*

Very gently, you climbed out of bed. You fixed your hair in the bathroom and came back out. You had to go back home or your parents would be worried. *I’ll see you later, Jaejoong oppa.* You bent down and softly kissed his cheek.

You grabbed a cab and arrived at your mansion. You had just skipped out when someone blocked your path. You gasped in surprise. “D-dongwook oppa! What are you doing here?!” He deeply frowned, “Where the hell have you been all night long?!”

“I-I-“

“And why aren’t you answering your phone?!” He barked.

“My phone?” Dumbfounded, you checked it. There were hundreds of calls from Hyunbin, Dongwook, and your parents. *Oh crap.*

“Do you know how worried all of us were? Hyunbin went to the police department with your parents and I stayed here, hoping you would show up.” Dongwook crossed his arms, “Are you going to keep being irresponsible like this?”

“I-I’m sorry. I didn’t know. I fell asleep at Jaejoong oppa’s house-“ You cupped your hands over your mouth. *Uh-oh.*

Dongwook narrowed his eyes, “Jaejoong…as in Kim Jaejoong?” You bit your lip. *I’m in trouble now.*

Before you could be scolded, your phone rang. “Hold on.” You didn’t recognize the caller id. “Hello?”

“Is this ~~~~~~~~~~?” A female voice asked.

“Yes, this is she.” You replied. “Long time no talk. I’m Yoo Ahyoung.” She said.

Your eyes widened, “Yoo…Ahyoung?”

Dongwook stared at you. *What the hell does that woman want now?*

“Can we meet right now?” She asked. “Um, sure.” You uncomfortably said.

Ahyoung told you the address and hung up. “Sorry, oppa, but I have to go-“ You turned to leave.

Dongwook grabbed your arm and spun you around. “Where are you going?!” He asked in alarm.

You opened your mouth but he answered for you, “You’re not actually going to meet Ahyoung, are you? Are you?!” You pulled away, “I have to go-“

“You don’t’ have to do anything!”

“I want to know what she wants from me.” You turned to leave but Dongwook held on. “DON’T GO! YOU’LL END UP GETTING HURT AGAIN!”

“Oppa-“

“I DON’T WANT TO SEE YOU IN PAIN ANYMORE! ARE YOU FOOLISH?! UNTIL WHEN DO I HAVE TO BE PATIENT AND JUST WATCH YOU GET STOMPED OVER BY EVERYONE?! HOW MUCH LONGER DO YOU HAVE TO BE BROKEN UNTIL YOU LEARN YOUR LESSON?!”

You had never seen him so angry before but it annoyed you that he was being so protective. You yanked away. “I can take care of myself, Dongwook oppa. I never asked you to wait for me.”

His face fell. You walked away.

Dongwook snapped out of his daze. He couldn’t let you go alone. Dongwook went into his car and followed you.

*Corner Café? Where is that?* You looked around and finally spotted it across the street. You waited for the light to change. Dongwook stopped at the red light. Anxiously, he looked your way. *Please turn around, ~~~~~~. You’re going to get hurt again and I can’t stand seeing everyone mistreating you.*

The walking sign turned green. You started to cross. You received a text message from Ahyoung and started to text her back that you had arrived. Dongwook anxiously tapped his steering wheel. *Come on, light. Turn green already!*

BEEP BEEP! He looked up. His eyes widened as a truck sped your way.

You didn’t even know since you were too busy with your phone.

Dongwook poked his head out of the window and hollered your name, “~~~~~~~ WATCH OUT!” But you didn’t hear him.

*DAMN IT!* Dongwook shifted his gear and stepped hard on the gas. His car shot forward. Cars beeped as he broke traffic regulations. But he didn’t care. All he needed to do was get to you before the truck did.

You heard tires screeching and looked up. Your eyes widened and you gasped loudly. *OHMYGOD! I’M GOING TO DIE!* The truck was less than a few yards away. You shut your eyes.

CRASH! BOOM! BANG!

You heard the scraping of metal but didn’t feel pain at all. *What…happened?* You slowly opened your eyes

. A red sportscar had blocked the truck from colliding into you. The side of the red car was dented and trashed. You sighed in relief, glad that you hadn’t been killed in the accident.

But the relief was shortly gone when you recognized the driver.

*No…way…* Your phone tumbled out of your hands. They started to shake badly. “Dongwook oppa…”

Slowly, his head lifted up. His eyes opened halfway and he met eyes with you. He looked horrible.

Blood covered half of his face. You couldn’t believe it. Dongwook had sacrificed himself for you.

“Oppa…” You whispered in horror.

“…~~~~~~~~~~~.” Then Dongwook lost consciousness.

You snapped out of your daze. “DONGWOOK OPPA!” You screamed in agony.
