You were shocked to have received a call from Jaejoong this morning. It felt so good hearing his voice but you scolded yourself to keep your head on. *I cannot fall for him all over again.*

The cab arrived at your old mansion. *Oh Gosh. I haven’t been here in forever.*

Slowly, you approached the door. You raised your hand but stopped. Your heart was pounding crazily in your chest. You put a hand over your chest and took a deep breath. *Calm down. Just get the necklace and go.* You mustered enough courage to ring the doorbell.

Seconds later, the door opened. You took in a sharp breath.

Jaejoong looked gorgeous. He was in casual white sweater and jeans but he had never looked so perfect to you before. *I missed him so much. No wait, what did I just tell myself before I came?!* You shook your head.

Meanwhile, Jaejoong was also thinking about how much he had missed you. *She looks more beautiful than ever. Why did I not know my feelings for her before?* “You actually came.” He whispered.

You cleared your throat, “Yes, um, you said I left something here.”

“Yeah, I was cleaning out your old room and I found some of your things. Come on in. Jaejoong opened the door wider. You stepped inside and warily looked around. You followed him up to the 2^ndfloor. You came into your room to see a box full of your things. “Take what you want and you can leave the rest.” Jaejoong said. You nodded. “Let me get you another box.” He left the room.

You started to sort your belongings out. You chose to take a couple of your favorite sweaters and a rose-colored headband. You reached into the bottom of the box and found a picture of you and Jaejoong. Your expression softened as you grazed your finger over the happy faces. *Back then, I never knew I would fall so deeply for him.*

You heard Jaejoong come back in, “Sorry, but I only found this box-“

Surprised, you dropped the wedding picture. The glass frame broke into a hundred pieces. You felt so bad. *Our wedding picture!*

“Are you all right?” Jaejoong asked. “I am but the picture is not-“ You bent down to pick up the photo but got cut by a shard of glass. “Ow!” You winced.

Jaejoong grabbed your hand, “What are you doing?! You don’t just put your hand into the glass, you idiot! God, you’re the same klutz as 3 months ago!” You just stared at the photo. “Come here.” Jaejoong dragged you into his room. He sat you down on his bed and went to get the first aid kit. You tried to clean up the blood but Jaejoong swatted your hand away. “Give me your finger.” He pulled your wounded hand towards him. Jaejoong opened the box and took out some medicine. He started to treat your cut. You winced at the pain.

Jaejoong shook his head, “Why would you do something dangerous like this? That picture isn’t worth anything.”

“You’re wrong.” You snapped. He stared at you in shock.

“To you it may be nothing, but to me it’s very important.” Tears welled up in your eyes, “It’s the only evidence I have of me and you.”

Jaejoong softened. Hope swelled in his heart. *Does that mean…she still has feelings for me, too?* “I never meant that the picture wasn’t worth anything at all.” He softly explained. “I just meant that it was worth nothing next to you.” You sniffled. Jaejoong began to wrap the bandage around your finger. “Why would you even care about us still anyways? You were the one that wanted the divorce, not me.” He glanced at you.

You just looked away.

“…Are you still in love with me?”

You gaped at him. “How could you just stubbornly ask that-“

“Because I still love you.” Jaejoong whispered. Your eyes widened *What is he saying?* He didn’t look away from your gaze, “I loved you before and I love you more now. I wished and I wish to this day that I had never let you go.” Your expression softened, “Jaejoong oppa-“

He cupped your face and kissed you. Your insides turned to mush. You had to admit. No other guy would ever make you feel this way. Not Hyunbin. Not Yoochun. And not even Dongwook.

Jaejoong started to feel alive again. *Yes, this is the feeling.* Kissing Ahyoung didn’t make him feel anything at all. But when he was kissing you, he saw a million colors explode in his head. His heart started beating faster and faster and burning warmth grew in his chest. *I love you so much. You have no idea how much I longed for you.*

The kiss began to deepen. You were on the verge of losing your breath but neither of you wanted to stop. Jaejoong tilted his face to the side to get a better angle. His hand slipped around your neck to bring you closer. Your palm lightly pressed against his beating chest and you tilted your head up to kiss him better. The passionate kiss slowed down until both of you just had to break apart to get some oxygen. Your foreheads were lightly resting against each other. Nothing could be heard except for pounding hearts and delicate breathing.

“Remember this?” Jaejoong breathed and pulled out your necklace from his pocket. You nodded. “This is why I wanted you to come back. To take this back. But at the same time, I wanted this to happen, too.” Jaejoong slipped his thumb across your bottom lip.

Your eyes automatically closed at his gentle touch. You opened your eyes and gazed at him again.

“Give me another chance and I swear, I’ll never disappoint you again.You will be the only girl I will ever love for the rest of my life. So please come back to me?” He pleaded.

You searched his eyes. In response, you just pressed your lips against his.

Jaejoong willingly kissed you back. While kissing you, his fingers crawled up to your hand and opened up your palm. He placed the necklace in your hand and closed your fingers over it.

You clutched onto it tightly and resolved to never let it go.
