Both you and Jaejoong weren’t talking to each other now. Part of him was angry at you. But mostly, he just didn’t know what to say to you. You hired a lawyer and made an appointment at the court.

It was the day before the court date. Jaejoong came downstairs and could smell a delicious aroma in the kitchen. Curious, he went inside.

You were making food with an apron. You really looked like a wife right then and there that it made him choke up. You turned around and warmly smiled.

Jaejoong automatically smiled right back. *Maybe I was dreaming this entire divorce process.*

“Come and eat, oppa.” You set the stew on the table and pulled your oven mitt off.

Gladly, Jaejoong came over. The two of you sat across from each other. “I don’t know if it’s good or not so let me know, okay?” You asked. He smiled and nodded.

Jaejoong picked up his spoon and began to eat. He took a sip of the stew.

“How is it?” You asked.

“It’s…warm.” Jaejoong softly smiled, “I think it’s the best stew I’ve ever eaten. You’ve improved a lot.”

You smiled back, “Thank you.” Jaejoong eagerly dived in again. “I thought it was proper to give you one last meal before we went separate ways.” You confessed. Jaejoong dropped his spoon. He stared at the food and suddenly felt sick to his stomach. *So it wasn’t a dream. We’re really separating tomorrow?* He looked up at you.

“I can’t let my cooking classes go to waste. After all, I went for you so I should at least make you one meal, right?” You attempted a joke.

“We should eat. The stew is getting cold.” You shoved food into your mouth so that he couldn’t say anything.

“No.” Jaejoong got up. “I don’t want to eat.” You stopped chewing. Jaejoong came over and got down on his knee in front of you. “~~~~~~~~ please, we still have time left. We don’t have to go to the court tomorrow. Let’s think about it-“

“No.” You shook your head. “We have to.”

“NO WE DON’T!” Jaejoong yelled. “WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME ALL OF A SUDDEN?! EVERYTHING WAS FINE UNTIL YOU DECIDED YOU WANTED A DIVORCE!”

You gazed at him. “You honestly believe everything was fine?” He searched your eyes, “What do you mean?”

Your bottom lip trembled. “Everything was never fine, for me anyways. Sure, I was happy when you played Monopoly with me in the rain and when we went on that picnic at Hankang. But every time you would make me happy, you always found some way to bring me down. Who are you to play with my feelings like that, Kim Jaejoong?” He opened his mouth but you continued, “You have no idea how crushed I was every time you would leave me for Ahyoung. I kept thinking ‘He’s going to change. He’s going to change.’” You shook your head as tears spilled down your face, “But you never did. Not once did you choose me over her. I felt so stupid for falling in love with someone like you. I had plenty of opportunities to love someone else but I stupidly chose to stay with you. Now looking back at it, I regret it. I wasted my time pouring my heart out to you.”

Jaejoong gaped at you *She…fell in love with me?! Why didn’t she tell me that before?!* You stood up but Jaejoong grabbed your wrists. “Please don’t do this. I swear. I- I’ll change. I’ll look at you and only you.”

You shook your head, “I don’t trust you anymore.”

“You have to give me a chance! It’s not fair for me!” Jaejoong shouted.

“I don’t want to get hurt anymore!” You shot back. You tearfully glared down at him, “I can’t afford another heartbreak, Jaejoong oppa.”

Tears spilled down his face. “Please don’t do this. Just stay with me. I’ll be a better husband.” You swallowed hard, “That’s not good enough.” “I’ll do anything you ask me to. Just don’t ask me to separate. I’m not ready to let you go yet. There are so many things I haven’t done for you. I need a chance to make it all up to you.” Jaejoong pleaded. He cried into your skirt.

Your own tears fell down your face. *This is harder than the heartbreak. I hate seeing him crying.* You forced yourself to pull away. “It just didn’t work out, okay, Jaejoong oppa?” You fled up to your room.

His hands fell onto the ground and he started to cry. *Why did I have to realize everything so late? Damn you Kim Jaejoong.*
