Jaejoong tried his best to make it up to you. But you acted like he was a ghost. Whenever he spoke, you just passed by without a word. He hardly saw you smile and that made him sadder. Jaejoong was coming down the hallway and you were coming from the opposite end. “Hey did you eat?!” He blurted. You passed by with a vacant expression. Jaejoong saw you shut your door and sighed *I don’t think it’s going to be so easy to make her forgive me this time.*

One afternoon, the adults called you and Jaejoong to Aristocrat. They didn’t notice the tension between you two. “We have happy news!” They beamed. You and Jaejoong curiously looked at them. “We finalized the will!” They pushed the papers towards you two.

Jaejoong’s eyes widened. He was officially the CEO of Hyundai now and you would get all the heir from your parents after they retired.

“Let’s just be a married couple until our parents officially make their wills. Once we know for sure that the company will be ours, we can go our separate ways.”

You gently picked up the will and gazed at it. *This is it.* Jaejoong was about to thank his parents when you announced, “I have something to say.” 5 pairs of curious eyes looked at you. You took a deep breath, “I want a divorce.”

“MUH?!” The parents gasped. Jaejoong was also shocked by the sudden news. He stared at you *What is she doing?!*

“Jaejoong oppa and I are going to get a divorce.” You claimed.

“Honey!” Your dad caught your mom. Her eyes fluttered open, “W-what are you saying? Why are you saying this now?”

“Did our Jaejoong do something to upset you?” Mrs. Kim uneasily asked.

You shook your head, “From the beginning, our marriage was fake. We only decided to marry in order to get you to make our wills. Now that we’ve reached out goal, it’s time for us to separate.

“Unbelievable!” The adults huffed. “Is that true, Kim Jaejoong?!” Mr. Kim demanded.

Jaejoong just kept staring at you. *Why is she saying this all of a sudden?! I know we agreed on this but I didn’t think we would really go through with it now! Especially when we got to know each other!* “I’m sorry to disappoint you like this.” You stood up and bowed. “When the divorce papers are signed, I will contact you.” You walked away.

“~~~~~~~~~~!” Your mom stood up but swayed. Your dad caught her waist. She started to cry into his chest.

“Excuse me.” Jaejoong bowed and ran after you. Right when you had pressed the elevator button, someone tugged you back. Jaejoong glared at you, “What the hell was that?!” You blinked up at him, “What? I just did something that was hard for you to do. Shouldn’t you be grateful?”

“I’m not talking about that!” Jaejoong snarled. “Why would you ask for a divorce all of a sudden?! You never even discussed it with me!”

“I did.” You replied.

“When?!” He demanded.

“Since day one.” You replied.

His face fell.

“’Let’s just be a married couple until our parents officially make their wills. Once we know for sure that the company will be ours, we can go our separate ways.’ They were your own words, as far as I remember. Now that we got our wills, we can really go our separate ways.” You pulled away and stepped into the elevators.

Jaejoong stood there, dumbfounded. You looked away as the elevator doors closed.

Ding Dong. Dongwook looked up from his laptop. *Who can that be?* He came over and opened the door. His eyes widened, “~~~~~~~~~~~~~~.” You numbly stepped inside. Dongwook followed you to the living room, “You didn’t even give me a call. Where are you coming from?” You sank onto the sofa and just stared ahead. Dongwook grew worried and bent down in front of you. “~~~~~~ what’s wrong?”

“…I just told my parents I want a divorce from Jaejoong oppa.” You whispered. His eyes widened in shock. You slowly turned your head towards him and sadly gazed at him. “Did I do the right thing?”

Dongwook was actually glad, happy even. But seeing the tears in your eyes made him realize how hard it had been for you. He tightly hugged you. “You did whatever was right for you.”

You closed your eyes and your tears stained his jacket. *But why don’t I feel right at all?*

At that exact time, Jaejoong had arrived at the mansion. Of course, you were nowhere to be seen. He went up to his bedroom and tugged his tie off. Jaejoong strode into the bathroom and splashed cold water on his face. He looked up at the mirror and remembered your words:

“I want a divorce.”

“I want a divorce.”

Jaejoong yelled in rage and pushed the vase of roses onto the floor. It crashed and broke into unfixable pieces. *Why did you have to ask for that now?! Why now?! When I was just beginning to realize my feelings for you…* He lowered his head as his tears dropped into the sink.
