There was another glamorous party happening. You wore a sunny yellow dress with a black belt in the middle. You and Jaejoong arrived at another multi-billionaire hotel. People greeted you and Jaejoong like royalty. Some people brought about the topic of children, which made you sigh. *Did my mother tell them to ask us this?*

Yoochun and Ahyoung came together. You warily bowed her way. She slightly bowed but kept her eyes solely on Jaejoong. “I like your bow-tie.” “Thanks. She picked it out for me.” Jaejoong threw you a grateful smile. You beamed back but Ahyoung sourly scowled.

“Yunho is over there. Come say hi with us.” Ahyoung dragged Yoochun and Jaejoong away. They looked back at you worriedly. You sighed with shoulders slumped *Again, she takes him away from me.*

“Why do you look so down?” A voice asked. You turned around to see Dongwook and Hyunbin in dashing tuxedos. “Oppas look so handsome tonight.” You beamed. “And you look beautiful.” Dongwook complimented. “Yeah, but your frown doesn’t match your yellow dress. Smile.” Hyunbin forced your lips to turn up. “Oppa!” You squealed. The 3 of you laughed.

“Where’s your husband?” Hyunbin asked. He looked up to see him with Ahyoung. “Oh.”

*That idiot. Will he ever learn?* Dongwook shook his head.

You tried to appear as if it didn’t bother you. “I’m going to get a drink. Oppas come with me!” You hooked your arms through theirs. The 3 of you headed to the refreshment table.

Jaejoong paused laughing to search for you. His smile faded when he saw you with Dongwook and Hyunbin. A waiter tried to squeeze by. Dongwook automatically put an arm around your waist and moved you out of the way. Jaejoong frowned. He didn’t like the way Dongwook was so close to you. “I’ll be back.” Jaejoong left his group of friends. Ahyoung watched him walk towards you and frowned *Her again?*

“Excuse me.” Jaejoong said. You, Hyunbin, and Dongwook stopped laughing.

Hyunbin raised an eyebrow, “For a moment, I thought you forgot about her.” “Oppa.” You whispered.

Jaejoong gave him a tight-lipped smile, “How could I? We’re married, remember?”

“I vaguely do.” Hyunbin smiled back. His eyes were hard though.

“We should go greet our parents. Come on.” Jaejoong held his arm out. You looked up at Dongwook and Hyunbin. “I’ll see oppas later.” You waved and left with him.

“I hate that guy. Don’t you?” Hyunbin asked. Dongwook shrugged.

“Come on! You should hate him the most! Do you love ~~~~~~~~~~~~ or not?! If I were you, I would hate his guts.” Hyunbin said in irritation.

“That’s the difference between you and me. You hate him for being him. I just hate the fact that he has the capability to make or break ~~~~~~~.” Dongwook gave him a small, amused smile and walked away. “Show-off.” Hyunbin muttered.

You and Jaejoong greeted your parents.

“So, how’s the baby coming along?!” The moms asked. “Mom! Not here!” You moaned.

Jaejoong wrapped an arm around your shoulder and pulled you close. “It’s coming along.” He smirked. “REALLY?!” They asked, ecstatic. “Oppa!” You squealed. The parents laughed. “Go and greet the others. Don’t forget to be polite!” Your dad advised, as usual.

You and Jaejoong walked away. “Why did you say that to our parents? You’re giving them false hope.” You pouted. “We can’t tell them the same thing all the time. Besides, where’d you get the idea that it was false hope?” Jaejoong asked. You stopped and stared at him *Does he mean…that we have a possibility of having a baby?!* Jaejoong just winked and walked away. You gaped at him, “You can’t just leave me hanging like that!” Jaejoong chuckled and shook his head. He loved teasing you.

You started walking but stopped when you spotted Ahyoung and Yoochun. She kept putting her arm through his. He politely pulled away every time. She pouted, “Yoochun-“

“Ahyoung, I said no, okay?”

“You let me hold your arm last time!”

“That was because you were my date. This time, it’s just a social atmosphere!”

“How come Jaejoong and that girl are linking arms?!”

“That girl happens to be his wife, Yoo Ahyoung. Have some respect.” Yoochun gave her a look.

Ahyoung sighed and stormed off.

*That girl has issues.* You shook your head and went to Jaejoong’s side. He held out a piece of dark chocolate. You blinked up at him. “There are no peanuts in it, I swear. I just checked with the waiter AND the dinner coordinator.” He replied. Satisfied, you ate the chocolate. Jaejoong smiled and ate his chocolate.

“Jaejoong-ah.” Someone called. Both of you turned your heads to see Ahyoung. *What now?* You irritably thought.

Jaejoong smiled, “Ahyoung, enjoying the party?” “No.” She pouted. “Why not?” He asked, concerned. Ahyoung sighed, “Things are not going well with Yoochun.” Jaejoong gave her a sympathetic frown. “Do you mind grabbing me some wine?” She asked. “Sure. I’ll be right back.” He left at once.

You and Ahyoung were left alone. The way she tapped her smartphone irritated you. *Doesn’t she have legs or arms? Why does she always ask Jaejoong oppa to get something for her?* Finally, you couldn’t take it anymore. “Don’t you think you’re a bit too much?” You blurted.

Ahyoung looked at you and blinked, as if she had just seen you there, “What do you mean?”

“Jaejoong oppa isn’t your servant. Better yet, he’s not your rebound.” You pointed out. “Excuse me?!” Ahyoung gaped at you in outrage. No one had ever spoken to her that way before.

You crossed your arms with a sullen glare, “Whenever things don’t work out between you and Yoochun, you come running to Jaejoong oppa. Is he your last resort?” “You look here-“ “Jaejoong oppa is a human being, too. Don’t you care about his feelings at all? How do you think he feels being used by you?” You snapped. “I didn’t use him!” She shrilly argued. “You did use him and you still are! Even if he confessed to you that night! And you kissed him back, remember?!” You accused.

Ahyoung turned red in the face. Before she could scream, a voice growled, “That’s enough.”

Both of you looked up. Jaejoong came over with red wine. He gave you a hard, cold glare. “I said that’s enough.” Your face fell, “But oppa-“

“Didn’t I tell you I wouldn’t forgive you if you talked about Ahyoung that way again? I told you that I’m hurt when you hurt her. How can you say those things to her?” Jaejoong asked, disappointed.

“BUT IT’S TRUE!” You wouldn’t hold back anymore. You had to wake him up. “She knows you love her so she’s using that for her own comfort! She doesn’t care if you’re hurt! She’s being selfish-“

Ahyoung grabbed the wine and threw it at your face. Jaejoong stared at you in shock.

The party turned dead silent. Hyunbin and Dongwook stared at you with widened eyes.

“You- you little bitch-“ Ahyoung raised her hand. Yoochun came out of nowhere and grabbed her arm. “THAT’S ENOUGH, YOO AHYOUNG!” He snarled. “Yoochun-ah.” She whispered, hurt to have been yelled by him.

Hyunbin and Dongwook ran over. “Gwenchana?!” Hyunbin asked. You slowly opened your eyes. “Let’s get out of here.” He led you out of the room. Dongwook glared back at Jaejoong, “You just made a big mistake. You know that?” He ran after you.

*What just happened?* Jaejoong had been angry with you but he had never expected Ahyoung to throw wine at you. It was a déjà vu of the first day he had met you. Just like that time, he hadn’t been by your side.

You, Hyunbin, and Dongwook were away from gossiping eyes. Hyunbin and Dongwook pulled out their handkerchiefs. They started wiping your face and dress. You grasped their arms. They stopped what they were doing and looked at you. “Heejoon-ah.” Dongwook whispered. You sank onto the marble step. They stared at you, worried.

Fresh tears fell down your face and mixed with the stained wine. *Never is Jaejoong oppa on my side. And never have I been so disappointed by him.*

Dongwook got down at once and wrapped his arms around you. “If you want to, you can cry. I’ll be here for you.” He looked up at Hyunbin, “We always will be.” Hyunbin nodded back. He bent down and squeezed your shoulder.

You held onto Dongwook and cried into his broad shoulder.
