The next morning, you woke up and felt nothing. But then you remembered the events from the previous night and felt worse than before. You sat up with a heavy sigh to start the day. *Great. I have to face Jaejoong oppa today and act like nothing happened.* You went to the bathroom to take a warm shower first.

After changing, you came downstairs. Warily, you looked around.

You hoped Jaejoong was gone for the day.

But you heard humming in the kitchen and went inside.

Jaejoong was making breakfast with an apron on. He put the bacon, eggs, and toast on the mini table. Jaejoong turned around and his eyes rounded in surprise. “Oh! You woke up already?! I was going to give you breakfast-in-bed.” You stared at the food. “Come sit and eat.” He pulled out the chair.

You just stood there.

“Come on. The chair doesn’t bite.” Jaejoong encouragingly smiled.

You paused then came over. He went to get the food.

You watched him in curiosity *Is he that happy that Ahyoung kissed him? Enough to make me breakfast?*

Jaejoong set breakfast on the table and sat across from you. “Eat a lot, okay? I made so much food.” He chuckled. You kept staring at him.

“Don’t tell me you won’t eat just because I cooked it.” Jaejoong sighed, “I already apologized for last night, didn’t I? Do you want me to apologize again?” He looked into your eyes, “I’m sorry for ditching you at the party. Forgive me, okay?”

You softly gazed into his eyes. *He thinks I’m mad at him.*

Before you could reply, the doorbell rang.

“I’ll go get it.” Jaejoong put his fork down and walked over. He stepped back in surprise, “Mom!”

“Surprise!” The mothers giggled. You stood up, hearing your own mother’s voice.

“Something smells delicious!” Your mom came in. “Breakfast?! Did you cook? Never mind. You’re my daughter. You don’t know how to cook. Then can it be…Jaejoong?!” She asked in thrill.

Mrs. Kim proudly smiled, “My Jaejoong has always had special skills in cooking.”

Jaejoong sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck. “Come and join us. I made a lot.”

“Don’t mind if I do.” Your mom sat next to you. She took your fork and started to eat. Her eyes brightened. “Mmm! This is delicious! Jaejoong, you could be a chef!” “Thank you. He bowed.

“You’re so lucky to have a husband that can cook. If only your father could cook like this!” Your mom winked at you. *At least dad loves you.* You thought.

After breakfast, the moms began to raid the kitchen. “Did you eat all the tonic I gave you?! OMO!” Your mom gasped. She yanked out the untouched tonic. “What is this?! I did not pay hundreds of dollars for you to just leave these to rot in here!”

“~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ your mom spent lots of time and money on the best baby tonic for you. You should drink it and give birth to a healthy baby.” Mrs. Kim warmly beamed.

*Not the baby talk again.* You thought.

Jaejoong put an arm around your shoulder protectively, “Please don’t badger her with the baby talk again. You have to give her some time, mother. She’s dealing with a lot right now.”

*You have no idea.* You thought but were still grateful for his help.

“That’s so cute! He’s defending you!” The moms squealed.

You looked at Jaejoong who smiled back. You gave him a small smile *If only you were on my side all the time. But I know that’s selfish of me.*
