After you changed out of your flour-stained clothes, you and Jaejoong went to a fancy restaurant in Kangnam. He pulled out the chair for you and you sat down, “Thank you.”

Jaejoong smiled and nodded. He sat across from you and looked through the menu.

You and Jaejoong ordered food and began to eat. He looked up from his food and watched you in the candlelight. You grasped your hair into a ponytail as you carefully ate your spaghetti. His gaze softened and a tender expression fell upon his face. *I never noticed but she is really lovely and lady-like.*

When finished with the food, you and Jaejoong headed to the counter. He started to take out his wallet but you stopped him. “My treat. Since I ruined your birthday cake.” You opened your clutch and took your credit card out. Jaejoong smiled, grateful and amused at the same time.

You and Jaejoong left the restaurant. He checked his watch, “It’s still pretty early to turn in. You want to go get coffee and watch the fireworks?” You shrugged, “Sure.” *Whatever you want, birthday boy.*

The two of you grabbed coffee from Starbucks and headed to the park. You and Jaejoong sat on an empty bench and waited for the fireworks to come up. He sipped his coffee and looked at you. “So…cooking school, huh?”

You blushed. “What? Don’t I have free will to get an education?”

“You do, you do.” Jaejoong nodded in agreement then slyly grinned, “But why else would you want to go to cooking school, huh?”

“Pfft! What? You think I’m going for you?! Dream on!” Yet, you couldn’t meet his eyes. You drank your coffee too fast, forgetting that it was hot. “Hot!” You fanned your tongue.

Jaejoong laughed. “It’s not funny!” You pouted. He chuckled and sipped his coffee.

Your tongue stopped burning and the atmosphere turned quiet. “Um…Jaejoong oppa.” He looked your way.

“…I’m sorry.” You apologized. “For what?” He asked, genuinely curious.

“For failing on making you the perfect birthday cake.” You pouted.

Jaejoong laughed, “It’s no problem at all. In fact, I’m glad you failed.” “Why?” You asked in puzzlement. Jaejoong grinned, “Because then I couldn’t have seen you throwing a tantrum like a baby. How cute~”

Your cheeks flushed, “Are you teasing me?” Jaejoong shook his head, “No, I’m being serious. Whether the birthday cake was a failure or not, today is still a happy birthday for me.” You looked at him, waiting for him to continue with the explanation. “No one has ever gone through so much effort for me on my birthday. So I appreciate that you did all that work for me. Thank you.” Jaejoong genuinely smiled

. At that moment, your smile slipped off your face and you stared at him, half in horror but mostly in wonder. His smile was so flawlessly beautiful that it made your heart beat faster. You couldn’t hear anything but your heartbeat anymore. The way he was smiling at you made chills go down your down. Good or not, you still didn’t know yet.

The burst of fireworks made you involuntarily jump, but you still couldn’t look away from him.

Jaejoong snapped out of the gaze first and pointed, “Wah! It’s fireworks!” He started to laugh.

You quickly looked away to stop those emotions. Your eyes widened in realization. *Oh please don’t tell me…I’M FALLING IN LOVE WITH MY OWN HUSBAND?!*
