It was Saturday night. Jaejoong was all ready in a pristine black and white suit. He was pacing at the foot of the stairs. Jaejoong glanced at his watch and let out an impatient sigh. “Yah! Are you almost done?! We’re going to be late!”

“I’m coming!” You put your lip gloss on and smacked your lips in the mirror. Then you grabbed your clutch and headed out.

*Man, what is taking her so long?* Jaejoong looked up, ready to call you again.

You appeared at the top and he froze. His eyes grew wide as saucers.

*Unbelievable.* You descended like an angel in your white and silver dress with a pink rose belt in the center. *How can she look more and more beautiful every day?!*

You stopped at the very last step so that you were eye level with him. You beamed, “Do I look okay? Will I not embarrass you?”

Jaejoong gulped as he stared into your eyes *Never.*

You waved your hand, “Jaejoong oppa.”

He snapped out of his daze. *Keep your cool, Kim Jaejoong.* He cleared his throat and grunted, “You look fine. Let’s go.” He turned to the door.

You took a step down and yelped as you lost your balance. Jaejoong swiftly turned back and grabbed your arm. Your eyes widened as he caught you. Slowly, you looked up at him. A shiver ran down your spine and your pulse beat from the electrical spark.

“You should be careful.” Jaejoong sincerely advised. You straightened up and cleared your throat as you dusted your dress, “Right.” He gave you a last look before heading to the car.

You lightly slapped your forehead *That was embarrassing. Now he’ll think you’re a klutz.* You sighed and left the mansion.

Jaejoong drove to Princeton Suites, a high-class hotel in Kangnam. He showed the invitation at the door. The worker let both of you in. Everything was fancily decorated. There was even an ice sculpture with the year of the high school graduates.

“Kim Jaejoong!” People waved his way. He smiled and nodded.

“Man, I haven’t seen you in forever! How have you been?” A man grinned and shook hands with Jaejoong. “Good.” The man looked at you, smiled, and nodded, “Did you get married?” “I did.” Jaejoong admitted. “Wow! I come back from Japan and you’re already hitched!” The man grinned.

Jaejoong put his hand on the small of your back and pulled you closer, “~~~~~~~ meet my high school friend Kim Junsu.” You smiled and nodded, “It’s nice to meet you.”

“It’s nice to meet you, too. Your wife is a real beauty.” Junsu shook your hand. Jaejoong smiled and you bowed in thanks. “Are you close with Jaejoong oppa?”

“Close but the trio was the closest.” He grinned. “Trio?” You blinked. “Yeah, Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Ahyoung. Man. They were the tightest circle of friends. No one could ever squeeze between them.” Junsu thought back. *That’s how people thought of Hyunbin, Dongwook, and me.* You thought.

“Kim Jaejoong.” Two tall model-worthy males appeared.

“Hey. Long time no see.” He smiled and shook their hands.

It turns out they were Yunho and Changmin, Jaejoong’s other close friends besides Junsu. They were in the modeling business and were out of the country often.

You were introduced to them and they politely greeted them. You excused yourself to let them have some ‘guy talk’.

You found the refreshment table and searched for food to occupy yourself with. You saw a variety of cookies. You picked up a white one with the tong and examined it *I wonder if these are good…*

“You probably shouldn’t eat that.” A voice said. You looked up.

Yoochun came towards you with his hands in his pockets. “They have peanuts in them.”

“Oh.” You dropped the cookie immediately.

“Yeah.” Yoochun smiled. “You actually came. I thought Jaejoong wouldn’t bring you.”

“He was kind enough to.” You weakly smiled. *More like force me.*

“Wine?” The waiter held the glasses out.

“Thank you.” Yoochun took two and held one out.

You shook your head, “No thank you.”

“You don’t like alcohol?” He asked.

“More like it doesn’t like me…I tend to knock out after one.” You confessed.

Yoochun smiled, amused, “It seems like there’s a lot more I need to know about you.” You smiled back.

“Here,” He held out a glass of cranberry juice. “Thank you.” You beamed.

“To new friendship?” Yoochun held out his glass.

“New friendship.” You agreed and clinked glasses with him.
