Hyunbin parked the car and the both of you went into the steak & pasta restaurant. The restaurant workers noticed the two of you right away. They fervently bowed and led you to the best table in the restaurant.

“I’ll have the usual fish and steak.” Hyunbin said without looking up.

“I’ll get the crab cake topped with pasta and alfredo sauce, please.” You beamed. “Oh! And Dongwook oppa will be here soon and I think he would like the Filet Mignon today.”

“As you wish.” The waiter bowed and left.

Hyunbin raised an eyebrow, “What if Dongwook doesn’t want the filet mignon today?”

“He’s not a picky eater like you.” You stuck your tongue out at him.

Hyunbin shook his head and looked through his phone.

Suddenly, someone covered your eyes. “Guess who?”

You smiled, “Wookie oppa.”

“How’d you know?” Dongwook unveiled your eyes and sat in the empty seat. As always, he wore stylish, impeccable clothes and looked even more handsome with his shiny smile.

“It’s kind of obvious.” Hyunbin pointed out in a duh-manner.

“I could smell the cologne I bought you for your birthday.” You beamed.

“Speaking of the cologne,” He sat up and gave you a questioning look, “Why didn’t you get me that cologne for MY birthday. All you got me was a wallet that I already had.”

“Oh! The food came!” You clapped.

“She hates you.” Dongwook chuckled. “I always knew that.” Hyunbin grumbled and sat back in his seat.

The 3 of you ate the scrumptious food while loudly chatting. The 3 of you would never run out of things to talk about. After all, you, Hyunbin, and Dongwook had known each other since you were in elementary school. There were millions of memories to bring out and laugh over.

“Are you excited for the party today?” Dongwook smiled your way as he cut his steak.

You beamed and nodded, “I even got a new dress for it! But…” “What’s wrong?” He asked. “I don’t have a date.” You pouted.

Dongwook chuckled, “Well lucky for you, you have two good-looking best friends who are willing to be your dates.”

Hyunbin looked up, “Yah. Speak for yourself. I’m not going with someone I can’t hit on.”

You made a face.

“Grow up. You’re going to be in your 30’s soon.” Dongwook said. “Exactly, which is why I need to find a girl soon.” Hyunbin stated.

“What happened to that Inee girl you were seeing?” You asked.

“They ended a long time ago.” Dongwook chuckled.

“Really?” You asked, baffled. It was your first time hearing that.

“Thanks for having no interest in my love life whatsoever.” Hyunbin stabbed his steak.

“You don’t either.” You pointed out. “Do you even have one?” He asked.

You gaped at him, “Oppa!” “Whoa there.” Dongwook dropped his knife and work and held his hands out, “That was too far Binnie.”

“Binnie?!” You and Hyunbin stared at him. Dongwook sheepishly shrugged, “It grew on me.”

“Okay, you-“ Hyunbin pointed his fork at you, “I don’t want you to ever call me that again. And you-“ He pointed at Dongwook, “…obviously have some issues. I’m done. When you’re finished, come outside.” Hyunbin dropped his cloth napkin on the table and strode off to the counter.

“I think he secretly likes being called Binnie.” You whispered. “Me, too.” Dongwook whispered loudly.

You giggled and he smiled back. “Cheers.” Dongwook held out the red wine. Beaming, you clanked your water glass with him.

Finished with the food, you and Dongwook came out to see that Hyunbin had already paid. He pushed himself off the car, “Took you two long enough.”

“Tonight who will pick me up?” You glanced between the two. “Come yourself and we’ll meet you in the front.” Hyunbin said.

“Lazy jerk.” You made a face. “Pouty princess.” Hyunbin shot back. “Immature freaks.” Dongwook added.

You and Hyunbin stared at him. “Anyways,” He shook his head, “who is going to take her home?”

“I will.” Dongwook took your hand and started walking backwards, “She prefers being with Wookie than Binnie.” Dongwook winked.

“Aish~ take her bags!” Hyunbin tossed them. Dongwook expertly caught them. You giggled as he led you to his red sports car. He opened the door for you and you went inside.

Hyunbin gave him a warning look, “You call me Binnie again and see what happens.”

“What’s the worse you can do? Not letting me shop at your mall for a year?”

Hyunbin took a step towards him. Dongwook went into his car and locked the doors. He stuck his tongue out as he drove away.

“AISH! THOSE BRATS!” Hyunbin screamed.

You and Dongwook laughed at his frustration.

“You’re the best, Dongwook oppa.” “I think I am, too.” He smiled in agreement.

The two of you smiled widely at each other. You felt like Dongwook was your secret knight. If ever you were annoyed with Hyunbin, Dongwook always got back at him for you in a subtle manner.

Dongwook dropped you off.

“Thanks, oppa~ I’ll see you tonight!” “Bye.” He waved and drove off.

Smiling, you went into your mansion and called your personal stylists.

You had to look dazzling for tonight’s ball.
