Yura had never been in the same room with as many boys as there were in her life.

Her vision was clouded with males, but not just any kind – she saw a male in a wheelchair doing his homework in the corner, a male with a snapback cap standing rather awkwardly, a male with auburn hair, and a male with a smile on his face so wide that it looked like his lips were going to rip.

Yura had always been perceptive, so she knew that these weren’t any ordinary people she’d be dealing with.

“Guys, we have a visitor!” Rapmon introduced in a loud voice, making everyone, including Yura, stare up at him in surprise.

Yura stepped back, “Um, I think I can handle this—“

“Oh, is this the newbie?” the boy in the wheelchair zipped straight at her before slowing to a stop. She noted that he had a pale complexion and sharp eyes. He wore a beanie on his head, which broke school uniform policy, not that she cared.

Before Yura could respond, Rapmon added gleefully, “She’s our newest member!” He wrapped an arm around her, and she felt strange about the foreign touch, yet warm.

“Hm,” one corner of the unknown boy’s lips hitched up into a smirk as he turned around, “So? Does anyone want to introduce themselves first? Or are you all going to be chickens?”

Nobody said anything, and Yura stared at him in mild surprise, seeing what he’d do next. He sighed at the silence and nodded, “Alright, I’m Suga.”

“…Suga.” Yura tried to take him seriously, “Like… sugar?

From beside him, the smiling boy broke out into a crazed laugh that startled Yura. Another boy snorted, and the rest either silently laughed or had a light smirk.

“No, S-U-G-A.”

“a.k.a Agust D!” a boy cried, earning a smack on the head. Yura grinned slightly but it disappeared as quickly as it came.

“Shut up, Jimin,” he grumbled, ears turning red as everyone laughed. I guess it was an inside joke, Yura thought.

The boy named Jimin rubbed his head, but stepped up with a bright smile, making his eyes vanish into lines. He had a pleasant face to match his snapback cap.

“Suga hyung likes to rap,” he clarified helpfully, “He wrote those lyrics in one of his songs.”

Yura raised an eyebrow. I was curious, but I didn’t ask…

Park Jimin!” Suga growled, and Jimin ducked as he swung his hand at him. He stood up sheepishly, “That’s my name! Nice to meet ya.”

When he smiled, Yura couldn’t help but gently smile back. His grins were contagious.

“I’ll go next,” the cheerful boy replied, slinging an arm around Jimin’s neck, “I’m Jung Hoseok from the countryside, and proud of it. Friends call me J-Hope. If you’re a friend, you’re more than welcome to call me that too.” He stuck out a hand out and beamed.

Mother of— Yura hesitantly took his hand and shook it, trying not to look directly at his blinding smile.

“Wait, wait, I can’t see! Jungkook, help me out here!” someone called.

Tell me about it, Yura rubbed her eyes, but when she looked up, she faltered.

The guy wasn’t lying. He had glassy eyes that seemed to be staring at her, but they really weren't. The wine-haired male that she presumed to be 'Jungkook' sighed and led him before her.

“Okay, is this where she is? Hello!” He stuck out a hand, shifting his body so that his back was facing Yura. He shook his hand in thin air, “Wait, why isn’t she grabbing my hand? Guys?”

Yura couldn’t help but let out a quiet chortle. He was quite a character already.

“Hyung, you’re faced the other way!” Jimin snickered.

JUNGKOOK!” he called.

“I’m right here!” The boy named Jungkook smacked his forehead and approached him to shift his position, but Yura stepped forward with an amused expression. All eyes were glued onto her as she walked around the male, eventually stopping at his front.

She took his hand and shook it firmly, “No worries, I can see you.”

The boy lit up like a Christmas tree, feeling reassured, “Oh, good. I’m Jin, by the way, technically the oldest here. I’m a senior along with Namjoon and Yoongi – I mean, Suga.”

“Namjoon?” she questioned.

“That would be me,” Rapmon’s meek voice appeared, and Yura turned to see him smile, “I’m the president of this club. Suga’s the co-prez. Senior Kim Namjoon, nice to meet you. You can call me Namjoon or Rapmon, it’s up to you.”

Before she could question, Rapmon cut in, “Rapmon’s short for Rap Monster. Don’t ask – awkward name, I’m well aware. It’s a name I made for myself when I was younger, and everyone calls me that now – well, my friends at least.” He rambled.

“And I’m guessing you like rapping too,” Yura concluded.

“He lives up to his name. He’s a monster with words!” J-Hope said.

Yura nodded absentmindedly, trying not to poke fun since he seemed like such a nice guy, sounds legitimate. I guess that’s all of them…

“Hey, who’s clinging to my back?” Jin suddenly said. Yura’s eyes flickered to him, noticing a male whom she hadn’t noticed before. “Is it Taehyung?”

“Yep,” Jimin stretched his arms and clapped an arm around his back, “Come on, Taetae.”

The boy named Taehyung fervently shook his head, and Yura softened slightly. He hadn’t uttered a word or made a sound the whole time. He reminds me of when Shinbi was younger.

“Don’t be shy,” Suga commented lazily, “She doesn’t bite… not so far, anyway.” He gave her a look, and Yura stared right back.

I don’t want to, Taehyung signed frantically with his hands, I’m scared! What if she thinks I’m weird like the rest of them?

Jin felt Taehyung’s motions and he pulled Jimin’s shirt, “What is he saying? Translate?”

“He’s saying he’s scared,” Yura spoke quietly, “And that he doesn’t want to introduce himself.”

The members stood in a stunned silence as clueless Jin nodded, his lips in a surprised ‘o’. “Oh, I get it. Aw, don’t be shy, Tae — wait, you can read sign language?!”

“Not at all,” Yura replied. From the corner, Jungkook’s eyebrows raised slightly.

Yura approached him carefully, “Listen – I both hate and at social interaction, so it doesn’t faze me if you’re shy. I can just introduce myself first. I’m Han Yura. Junior, in my 11th year. And you are?”

He stared at her in surprise for a few seconds before blinking quickly and putting up the peace sign. Yura blinked, “Peace?”

“No, he’s saying his name is V. Nickname, anyway,” Jungkook cleared his throat. Yura glanced over her shoulder as the wine-red haired boy crossed his arms, “Anything else you want me to translate?”

V thought hard before promptly signing something with his hands.

“My name is Kim Taehyung. You can call me V, I don’t mind. Thank you for being kind.” Jungkook translated.

Yura’s eyes widened at the words. Kind? I was being kind?

V timidly poked his head out behind Jin’s back and smiled widely. Yura’s heart warmed, he’s like a little kid.

“Well, I can’t say I’m not surprised,” Suga spoke, “V hardly opens up to anyone, and he’s afraid of strangers.”

“Well done, newbie!” J-Hope grinned approvingly. Yura felt embarrassed and odd about the friendly smiles and looks, but didn’t complain.

Amidst the grins, Yura turned to the boy standing sleepily beside her. Jungkook stood with a rather bored expression on his face until he noticed Yura’s piercing gaze on him.

“Can I help?” He tilted his head.

“You’re Jeon Jungkook,” Yura made a statement rather than posing a question.

“Can’t say that I’m surprised that you know me. Where’d you hear about me from? Your friends? From gossiping classmates?” Jungkook accused.

“No, your nametag.”

Jungkook halted and glanced down at the nametag pinned onto his blazer.

“For the record, I don’t have any friends. And I hate my classmates.” Yura looked away.

Jungkook stared at her in stunned silence.

There was a long, awkward silence as Jimin and Rapmon exchanged nervous looks.

“Well,” Rapmon began with a forced laugh, “Now that you’re all acquainted, you should know that there’s another female member that’s part of this club.”

“Yeah, an annoying one,” Suga said sardonically as Jin hit him on the arm.

“He says that, but Haera, Suga hyung, and Rapmon hyung are the best of friends,” Jimin whispered near Yura’s ear. Yura blinked as Jimin grinned.

“Actually,” J-Hope tilted his head, “Shouldn’t she be coming any second—“

“We’re back!” A feminine voice tinkled in the air. Yura flipped her semi-long black hair across her shoulder as she glanced at the two that came in.

“Speak of the devil,” Jin chuckled.

Before Yura could take in the appearance of the other female, another girly voice called out, “Did the new member come yet—”

Yura looked up to see Yoomi staring at her through her almond-shaped eyes. “—YURA!”

Instantaneously, she was squished in an embrace. Yura leaned away so her face wasn’t being smushed into her guidance counselor’s chest, “Unnie—“

“You were the new member?! Why didn’t you tell me?!” Yoomi gawked, holding her out at arm’s length as the other members stared at the scene in shock.

Because I knew you’d act like this, Yura thought. “Um… surprise?” she tried instead.

“I am surprised!” Yoomi giggled, “Aww, you and Jaehwan hiding this from me… This is going to be so much fun!”

“Uhm, ssem?” J-Hope awkwardly cut in.

“Oh!” Yoomi quickly let go of Yura, “I’m sorry, guys!”

Yura sighed and shook her head, raking a hand through her hair, as if she knew that was how she’d react from the start.

“I’m guessing you know Yura?” Jimin questioned.

“Of course I do, she’s my neighbour!"

Yura awkwardly shifted her position as the boys oohed and ahhed.

“Who’s Yura?” A peppy, curious voice asked as the female entered Yura’s line of vision. “Is she…” Her sentence was abruptly cut off with a loud gasp.

Yura cautiously looked up.

“COOL GIRL!” a voice squealed, and Yura was tackled back into the desks.

In front of her, an adorable girl with caramel coloured hair and wide, shimmering eyes blinded her with an ecstatic smile.
