A Lesson on Love in the Woods
Description
Relationship refers to the way two or more people are connected; like the intricate friendship that is shared between Hyomin, Kai and Jiyeon.
Hyomin, Kai and Jiyeon had begun their teaching career in one of South Korea’s elite school just a year ago. It is no mere coincidence that the three had decided to take on this path – after all they were inseparable. Well-liked by students and colleagues alike, they had thought their teaching journey in the school would have been a smooth-sailing one but was proved otherwise.
Further, the three of them found themselves inexplicably stuck in relationship woes when a pair is made within the trio.
While these three are all experts in their various fields of teaching, they are all amateurs in the subject of love.
Whoever said love cannot be taught is utterly wrong. In this story, the characters not only teach as a profession but are also taught love by those who had boldly crossed path with them - especially one, Hyomin
Love can be taught anywhere, it is most efficiently delivered when one is unaware, just like how Hyomin had experienced it. A lesson taught which she will never forget; a lesson on love in the woods.

Kim Jong in, Kai
A charismatic physics teacher in an elite school, and later, the boyfriend of Jiyeon but is sometimes unsure of his feelings. Kai is especially gifted in the aspect of Physics. He is as well a very knowledgeable and a practical man. However what the Physics teacher lacks in is his judgement in relationships and thus ended up hurting his most-loved ones.
"I thought I had everything that I needed in life, equipped myself with all the knowledge I needed and yet I've made so much blunders because of my flawed assumptions and judgements."
To students- "I like to make friends with students who are willing to be friends with my subject. We're in an elite system, so you've all got to live up to your expectations. Got it?"
Hyomin
A high school teacher in an elite school; the very same school where her two other good friends and herself had graduated from. Hyomin adopts a fun-loving and lenient attitude towards her students. She was a very shy girl but managed to shed that image with the help of her close friends. However, deep down, she has a rather low self-confidence and is averse to taking risks. It was later changed when she met Luhan.
"I love life, I really do, but it can be hard to deal with damages, I am still recuperating from them."
To students- "Learning is a lifelong journey, it is about self-improvement and it should stem from your desire to learn more, not to satisfy what the system requires of you. If not, you are just like anybody else; like water-fleas, scooting about aimlessly in the vast water body."
Jiyeon
A highly reputable Chemistry teacher in an elite school known for her effective teaching methods. Jiyeon is a woman with a very strong character as well as determination. She is considered to be ruthless in achieving maximum marks and bringing out the best in her students. Jiyeon is also very clear of her feelings and thus is no stranger to confessing them.
"Love is experiencing the greatest joy, wanting the best of everything for your loved ones."
To students- "At present, we only have a goal in mind, to maximize your potential. We are already past the stage where you realize your potential, you've all got to bulk up and move ahead of others, if not, you'll be left behind. As cruel as it may be, this is life, this is what everybody is going through."
That CEO:
Luhan
An acting CEO of a trans-national biotechnological company owned by his family. Despite being only 26, he already has a doctorate in bioengineering, and is one of the youngest South Koreans to have achieved that. Luhan is a rather cynical character but is able to put up a good acting front. As a person who wields substantial power he has to and is good in analysing things. Luhan’s high self-confidence stems from being continually exposed to stressful situations since he was young and being able to free himself away – due to his parent’s premature deaths.
"Life is not about not getting injured, it's about how you deal with the damages."
"Well... Love is... Like the ocean, you experience ups and downs, you drift along, at some point in time you end up nowhere, but then you will eventually get washed ashore."
That Play Boy
Sehun
An heir to Star Empire and cousin to Luhan. He is a very lovely character and has all the charms to attract a girl. His strengths are also his fatal flaws since he enjoys being in a relationship yet hates commitment thus attributing to his play boy characteristics. Sehun is very loyal to his cousin and often supports his decisions. His attraction towards feisty girls led him to a chance encounter with Jiyeon and the boy found himself falling head over heels for her.
"What is life without having fun?"
"Love was never a word in my dictionary until you came. I love you so will you be mine?"
Foreword
Hello peeps, it's CatD65 with another storyline. (That is actually over a year old and stale)
Wait, before you guys read on, I've got to tell you that this story is somewhat cliche, including the characters' characters.
Har! Okay, so I'm already critiquing my own story. Please feel free to do so as well guys, *hint hint* Comments are very much appreciated.
People don't see why comments matter much to authors but here let me tell you.
Not only does it spur the authors to do better, it also steers the story in the somewhat 'right' direction (okay perhaps that's only for me). More importantly, it gives others a glimpse of what to expect. So commenters, see how important you guys are. I can still accept heartaches if there isn't any though. Heh.
I will do my best to minimise grammatical errors as well as logical flaws in this story. But as guys know, this story revolves around teachers as main characters and though we've all interacted with many teachers in our lives, we still do not exactly know how they feel. Teachers, if there are, on this site, and reading this, do feel free to share your opinions.
With that, I wish you a pleasant reading journey ahead!
Cheers!
The same old mundane stuff,
this story is conceived from my mind and any similarities with other fictions is regrettable.
