Title: Heal Pairing: one-sided Rahyuk, Luck Related Chapter: 26, 30, 35, 40, 47, 56, 59, 66, 73, 75, 86, 89 Word Count: 612
Ravi watched Hyuk sleeping, eyes trailing over the younger’s battered form. Honestly, Hyuk looked more like a mummy than a vampire. Not that Ravi looked much better. Their most recent brush with death – more specifically the scientists who’d tormented them ages ago – had come very close to being more than a brush.
“Is daddy going to be alright?” Sooyoung asked, taking a seat beside Ravi. Thankfully, the little girl had been someplace safe, so she was left uninjured.
“He’ll be fine,” Ravi smiled slightly, patting the little girl’s head gently, “why don’t you go play with your dolls?”
“Ok, papa,” she smiled before running off.
Ravi hated it when she called him that. He wasn’t her father, Leo was. Leo was the one she was supposed to be calling father. As much as Ravi would give anything to be the father of Hyuk’s child, that was Leo’s place. Ravi was just……a place holder until Leo had recovered enough of his sanity to no longer be a danger to Hyuk and Sooyoung.
The lone problem with that was the fact that Ravi had lost contact with N and the others. It had happened after getting word that the blasted scientists were closing in on them all. N had taken Leo and the others and ran while Ravi packed up Hyuk and Sooyoung and gone a completely different direction. Somewhere in all the chaos, contact information was lost for both groups. That was five years ago and Ravi had no idea how Leo was doing.
The last time he’d talked to N, the oldest said that there was no improvement to report. Ravi liked to think that five years had been enough time to change all of that. After all, Leo had to realize that recovering his sanity meant getting to be with his gorgeous mate and his beautiful daughter again, right? Who in their right mind wouldn’t want that? Ravi knew he did. He’d love to be Hyuk’s mate and Sooyoung’s father.
“Um,” Ravi looked up and frowned as he heard Hyuk groaning in pain.
“Hyukkie,” Ravi cooed, rushing to the younger’s bedside, “don’t move, you’re still hurt.”
“Leo,” Hyuk whispered, still half asleep, “you’re here.” he reached out for Ravi, a smile on his face.
“I’m not Leo,” Ravi frowned, pulling back slightly, “Hyuk, he isn’t here.”
“Oh,” Hyuk frowned, “sorry. I just…..I was dreaming.”
“It’s fine,” Ravi smiled sadly, “I know you miss him.”
“Being apart from him,” Hyuk sighed sadly, “it hurts so much. Even after seven years.”
“I know,” Ravi nodded, “I know.”
“But it also hurts less now than it did back then,” Hyuk smiled slightly, “I guess I’m getting used to not being with him.”
“You’ll be with him again,” Ravi promised, “I swear it.”
“Thank you,” Hyuk smiled, “now, you were saying something about not moving too much, right? Just how bad are my wounds?”
“They’re healing,” Ravi assured him, “you just need some more blood in your system. I’ll go get some.” Ravi left then, leaving Hyuk all alone.
“I miss you so much, hyung,” Hyuk whispered, looking up at the ceiling as if he expected to find Leo there, “but it’s true what I told Ravi. Being apart form you hurts less now than it did when I left. I guess my heart is healing, huh? Maybe in a few more years, being away from you won’t hurt at all. Maybe then, if you haven’t regained your sanity, I can try to move on.” Hyuk didn’t want to move on, but he knew he had to for Sooyoung’s sake. It would do his daughter no good to have her father stuck in the past.
A/N: poor Hyukkie. But he’ll be so overjoyed when he finds out that Leo is better.
