Leo slowly became aware of his surroundings, of the chains holding him still. He dreaded opening his eyes to see what kind of hell he was in, but he had to do it. If he didn’t open his eyes he couldn’t see a way to escape.
All opening his eyes did was crush his spirt.
He was back in his cell, the one he had been locked in back when he and the others were being tortured. This time, however, the TV screens that rested in the back wall of his cell only showed him one thing; Hyuk curled up in a ball.
“Hyuk,” Leo whispered, his chains rattling as he started to fight against their hold on him.
Hyuk didn’t move, didn’t even twitch, and that terrified Leo. He started yelling, trying to rip the chains out of the wall, in hopes that Hyuk would hear him and do something. Anything.
“Leo,” he heard N yell, “stop it, you’re going to hurt yourself.”
“No,” Leo growled, “not until I know Hyuk is alright.”
“Hyung,” Ken called, voice soft and sad, “please stop.”
“No!” Leo kept yelling and pulling his chains, “Hyuk! Please wake up, yeobo. Say something, anything.”
“Cut it out!” Ravi suddenly yelled, “He’s gone, Leo. He’s dead.” Ravi’s voice cracked and soon the vampire was crying.
“No,” Leo shock his head, trying to deny what he had heard, “no, he can’t be. He’s not gone. He wouldn’t die.”
“He’s gone,” N said sadly, “whatever they used to knock us out so that they could catch us…..it killed him. Hyuk….he kept coughing and coughing. They just watched him. They laughed! Those ing s laughed as he died. I couldn’t do anything, I couldn’t help him. I’m so sorry, Leo. I’m so, so sorry.”
“No,” Leo growled, crying as his knees gave out and he felt to the ground, “no, Hyukkie. You can’t leave me. You promised, you promised you would be with me forever. Hyuk.”
Hyuk listened to his lover wailing from several halls away, hand covering his ears as he tried to block out the noise.
“He’ll be alright, Hyuk,” N said, resting his head against the wall separating him from the youngest, “don’t worry. This is Leo after all, nothing they do can ever hurt him.”
“I don’t think so,” Hyuk replied, “I think that this time they will break him.”
“No,” N frowned, “they aren’t going to because we’ll be out of here before then.”
“No,” Hyuk shook his head and moved over to his child to hug the small babe who had started to cry, “There isn’t a way out. Not this time.”
Across from Hyuk’s cage, Ravi frowned slightly. He refused to just give up, to let Hyuk lose hope. Yes, there didn’t appear to be a way out at the moment, but there hadn’t been an obvious escape the last time they were there either. All they needed to do was wait for an exit to appear and they could run. Run and never look back. He just needed to make sure Hyuk didn’t lose hope.
A/N: so, not the part 7 most of you wanted or expected for the Luck vampire AU, right? I have a feeling that I should hide right about now……. *runs and hides*
