It was fate. Had to be.

Hakyeon just regretted saying that to his friends because they about it.

“But it has to be fate,” Hakyeon argued, trying to fix his school uniform and hair so that both looked perfect, “I mean, just think about the odd on this.”

“He might have a point,” Hongbin said after a moment of thought, “Sanghyuk isn’t the only person who can tutor people in math. There’s, like, eight other kids.”

“Exactly!” Hakyeon grinned.

“But he’s also the best,” Wonsik pointed out, “and that’s what Hakyeon needs if he wants to pass so.....only natural the teacher would give him Sanghyuk as a tutor.”

“Hey!” Hakyeon scowled.

“It’s true,” Taekwoon spoke up, not looking up from his book.

“I’m gonna side with Hakyeon on this,” Jaehwan added his voice to the conversation, “I’ve seen Sanghyuk’s schedule for tutoring people and it was full. Like, totally full. Hakyeon was not failing badly enough for the teacher to force Sanghyuk to take him.”

‘”Wait,” Hakyeon frowned slightly, “so.....how did I end up with Sanghyuk as my tutor? If there weren’t any open spots......”

“No idea,” Jaehwan shrugged, not mentioning that his roommate, Sanghyuk, had explained everything to him.

Hakyeon would just have to find out when Sanghyuk confessed.

Bit of a shame it wasn’t fate, though. Just Sanghyuk manipulating things so that he could spend time with Hakyeon.
