Taekwoon often compared himself to the sea. Heck, the comparison practically made its self! It was just so easy to look at the two and go ‘these two things are alike.’ His friends – Hakyeon and Jaehwan – thought so anyway. They were the first ones to ever make the comparison, Taekwoon just kept using it.

You see, the sea always looked calm – well, unless there was a storm – but it wasn’t calm under the surface. No, under the surface there were hundreds of things going on making the sea anything but calm.

Taekwoon was much the same way. On the surface he looked calm, aloof and disinterested in everything going on around him. But under that mask he’d created for himself things were a whole other story. His thoughts and feelings were anything but calm.

Taekwoon was alright with this, ok with being like the sea. That was how he’d been for most of his life, so why change? Why start putting himself out there and show his every thought and feeling like his friends did?

There was one reason to change.

Sanghyuk.

Taekwoon’s roommate and the guy he’d fallen head over heels in love with sometime between the start of his first year of college and the end of his second year.

Taekwoon wanted to share everything with Sanghyuk, tell him all his thoughts and feelings and secrets. But the mask…..Taekwoon had no idea how to get rid of it.

Thankfully for poor Taekwoon, Sanghyuk was willing to help him.

A/N: this idea sounded so much better in my head, but it still turned out pretty good.
