Author’s note:
Yes, I really did write 10k lol it’s the longest one-shot I’ve ever written so I hope you all will like it ^^ Well, I have to put up that warning so it might be pretty predictable but yeah, do enjoy anyway, and tell me what do you think afterwards, okay? ^^
[from the same universe]
Jimin thought he is doing himself a favour; he wants to be selfish for once. Because he’s the one who loves Yoongi, after all. Between them, he’s the one who loves, period.
2. Halfway Down the Road
Jimin is already halfway down the road when he realizes that Taehyung migt not be able to make it to the end while Yoongi has just caught up from a long (un)forgotten start.
Jimin knows he should start moving, because Yoongi is almost done waiting and he doesn’t want to lose yet another one.
Foreword
“Jimin, ready to go?”
“Yes, hyung, wait a minute!”
Jimin slings his backpack over his shoulder before grabbing his set of keys with one hand while another reaches out for the curtain. Yanking them apart, Jimin squints as the sunshine basks the room of its glory. It’s Jimin’s favourite part of the morning; seeing the light and feeling the heat for the first time of the day – because he feels most alive then.
His gaze falls to the photo frame on the table. The sunlight screens on it such that all he can make out from the photo is a blur of orange hair but it’s okay because Jimin knows the image by heart; twinkling eyes of the happiest boy in the world, widest grin on lips that almost form four edges.
The boy he is in love with.
“Good morning, Tae,” he whispers, a smile comes up almost naturally. “I’ll be happy today as well.”
“JIMIN!”
“Yes, hyung, coming!”
Jimin turns on his heels, knowing that he’s going to be late for work and he’s going to make his housemate--fellow assistant choreographer late as well if he doesn’t move soon. The corner of his eyes catches the sight of a piece of napkin from local café fluttering by the morning breeze from the open window. He leans forward to put a book on it.
Not today, he thinks as he closes the door behind him.
Today he’ll just going to be happy.
