He could see everything from his spot on top of the roof. Yet there was nothing to see. After all, miles of trees and mountain tops were nothing of importance. They were landscape - scenery - just another thing he could not touch.

That night, it was raining heavily, but he did not care. If he died from the cold it would be a blessed relief from his suffering. His life was meaningless anyway, for what was the point of existing without living?

The long teeth, the jagged claws, the hard muscles, the layer of fur - it was all a living hell. The comfort and the luxuries that surrounded him - they were a prison. He would give anything to be poor and , but free.

He howled into the night, as if to get rid of his agony. As if that would. His anger had transformed into regret a long time ago, but that regret was not enough to save him.

Love. That was what he needed. And love was far, far beyond his reach.

How easy it would have been to throw himself from that roof. But he wouldn't die. He would only injure himself.

No, his curse was to suffer, and one could not suffer if they were dead. His curse would keep him very much alive, very much in his existence. Until the day when someone would come and free him.

Day after day, he wished for her. He dreamed about who she would be, what she would look like, how she would stumble upon his prison, how she would fall for him...

As he sat there on his perch, in the pouring rain, he hoped one last time that she would come.

In the distance, he heard a man scream.

Minho rose a little higher on his perch and gazed through the rain at the road that just beyond his property. There he saw the commotion. It was not his beloved coming to rescue him, but it was someone. And someone was better than no one.

It was an old man getting harassed by a group of much younger men, who were probably trying to rob him. Minho was disgusted at the injustice, which was something that never would have crossed his mind before his curse. How long had it been since then? Five years? Ten years? Twenty years?

The man reached the gate at the end of his property, the one that was always left open to invite the unfortunate ones inside. The old man threw himself at it desperately and the rusted latch opened for him, letting him stumble into the garden.

"Help me!" he yelled as he ran toward the mansion. The group of robbers followed after him. Now that they were on his grounds, Minho decided he had had enough.

He leaped from the top of the roof and landed among them, between the old man and his attackers. One look at him had them frightened. He let out his loudest roar and that was enough to scare them away. They were gone from his property in the blink of an eye, leaving him alone with the unfortunate old man.

He slowly turned to look upon him. He was still afraid, probably more so than he was before.

"Please..." he said as Minho stalked closer, "Please!"

He must have thought he was going to eat him. The thought never crossed Minho's mind, but he did get some satisfaction out of scaring him.

The old man turned to try and run again, but the beast was on him before he could flee. Minho grabbed the back of his jacket with his teeth and stopped him. With the old man kicking and screaming, he dragged him to the entrance of the mansion. 

A/N: Hello subbies (and non-subbies alike)! I'm back with that massive 2min fic I promised. lol

I've been kinda obsessed with fairy tales lately and writing my own versions. Especially Beauty and the Beast, (you wouldn't believe how many versions of that story I have.) so I wrote this goofy thing.

Just so you know ahead of time, this isn't a "romance" story (as in they don't end up together at the end). It is 2min though, so you can expect the fluff. (Just don't expect any epic kissing scenes. :P)

Now that that awkward introduction is out of the way, I hope you enjoy...
