Description
In a world where Shapeshifters and Skinwalkers are the norm and Defective are filth, Geum JinJu thinks she's got it pretty bad. And she does- the Defective slum of Jaedue isn't exactly the nicest place to grow up. Throw in a hormonal wasteland of a high school, a gangly best friend who spends his spare time fraternising with the enemy and family of rats as unwelcome boarders underneath her home, and you have what JinJu would accurately describe as hell.
She's really just waiting on a change.
Meanwhile, on the other side of town (or the royal palace of Indion, whatever floats your boat), Crown Prince Kim Jongin is in somewhat of a predicament. His father is declaring war upon a country of farmers, failing to realise that it's all in cold blood. Meanwhile, demons are laying waste to the desert of Defluo- and Jongin needs to find a solution, quickly, before they begin to consume the world.
They say cooperation is key, but how do you cooperate when you've been taught to hate one another? You learn. Fast.

Foreword
Hello everyone! This is actually my first fic ~ I've always loved this genre, and this idea sprung to mind. So I wrote it. Just a warning- this isn't mamaverse or exoplanet, as fun as they are. They are on earth, but I've recreated earth to fit my purposes. If you don't recognise the countries, good, because in reality they don't exist ;) I'd be somewhat worried if you did. Also! Don't expect too much- what with the quality of writing I deliver (low), I declare this a light read.

Terms you may need to know:
Shapeshifter- a person who can shift at will into another animal form. Shapeshifters can't choose that other form, they are born with it, and have it for life. They only have one form as well as their human one. Shapeshifters are considered the highest on the social hierachy, and are hence the wealthiest. The rulers of countries must be Shifter.
Skinwalker- a person who can shift into different forms at will so long as they carry the pelt of the desired form on them. In order to attain pelts (that aren't the basic ones received as children) they have to go hunting- hunters are revered in their societ. They make up the middle and upper middle class. There is a general animosity and rivalry amongst Walkers and Shifters.
Defective- a person with no abilities at all. They make up the lower class of society, and are looked upon as scum by the Walkers and Shifters both. They work the undesirable jobs and live in slum like conditions.
THIS PLOT, DIALOGUE AND THE ORIGINAL CHARACTERS BELONG TO ME. I WISH EXO DID BUT WE CANT HAVE EVERYTHING WE WANT, SO THERE. ANYWAY, PLEASE DO NOT STEAL ANY OF THE THINGS THAT ARE MINE OR I'LL GET ANGRY AMD REPORT YOU.

JUST CLEARING SOME THING UP... THIS IS NOT A REVERSE-HAREM FIC. IN OTHER WORDS, IT IS NOT A STORY IN WHICH MULTIPLE, OR ALL, MEMBERS FALL FOR THE GIRL. The reason i've labelled this as ot12 is so as to keep it truly secret as to what direction the story is headed in. i like my readers to draw their own conclusions, and I think its more enjoyable when the end isnt spelled out completely for you. IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS, DON'T READ THE COMMENTS!!
