Kang Jieun was once a girl who cheerfully spends her days with laughters, smiles, giggles, chuckles. Her life seems perfect to someone who barely knows about her. But beyond those happy-go-lucky times, there is something that actually ruins her in the inside. Those cheerful laughters, smiles, giggles and chuckles are fakes!
Jieun's life is not as perfect as everyone thought of. Yes, she came from a wealthy family but that does not mean anything to her. Of course, she has all that she wants and even more than she needs. But despite all of that, she lacks something in real life. That is... LOVE.

Love is a strong feeling that someone have when he or she like something or somebody very much and that are very important in someone's life.

But to Jieun, love is something stronger.
You cannot buy love and you cannot sell it. You cannot see love and you cannot touch it. But you can feel it.

This 18-year-old girl is extremely starving from love. She needs it, really. But she never experience such a thing as love is. Nor that her own parents show her how much they care and love about her.
And when her father was gone, she felt as if the weight of world is pressing her downward to the Earth, making her feels like everything is useless because she did not have the chance to hear a word of love from her father's lips.

Spending her nights with tears ever since then. Her precious tears streaming down her cheeks each time she closes her eyes. She hates it but could not help it because...

And a year later... Where it all begins, from teardrops to love.
