나의 수호 천사

"My Guardian Angel"

The story of the last Grigori

** Disclaimer: This is nothing but a work of fiction and a product of the author's flight of ideas, overactive imagination and again, lack of sleep. The characters, although real, do not reflect their living counterparts. I ask, again, for you my dear readers…please don't be so quick to judge.

______________

Okay, first off, i’m sorry for taking this story out from my page. I wanted to re-do it. Still, it will be the same concept. Anyway, I hope you get to read it again.

Really sorry, my flight of ideas is confusing even for me. =.=

My Guardian Angel is inspired by the song of Akdong Musician, Melted. I have been listening to it on my free time and every time I do, there’s this image of a young boy with a cold father and missing his mom.

The pairings in this story is not what it seems so don’t be easily fooled and don’t be so quick to judge.

Did you miss me? \\^o^

Ha! I know I said it might take some time for me to make another story and yet here I am…

I am hopeless…

Hopeless to keep away from the place where my imagination springs to life…

Sorry for the awful banner I made. I just had to put pictures of the characters…well, the first few who will be appearing in the story. I'm sure there'll be a lot more but for now, it will be just them.

Of course this is about my favorite Hero and Heroine! Do you even have to ask? The plot is completely different from YG Trapped, which I have to admit, I still miss and I'm fighting the urge to continue Lena and Hayi's story. Okay, forget I mentioned that! I just wanted to say that this one's a totally different story.

I guess you are all wondering about --> "Grigori". The "Grigori" are also called "Watchers", simply put, they are Angels! "Fallen Angels" to be exact. Why have they "Fallen?" You'll find out as you read on.

This will be elaborated as the story unfolds, more in the middle chapters. The first few chapters will be for light reading, the build up. Nothing too complicated or confusing…I mean, just the right amount of thrill to tickle our brain. Yes, including mine! >.< But to those who are curious, you can always google it! or click: http://www.archangels-and-angels.com/misc/grigori.html ^__^ But that pretty much sums up what you need to know. I won't be strictly following the literature. My mind will burst if I do and I still have an exam to take.

Like I said before, I hope that you will love this story as much as you loved the others! \\(*3*)//

So...are you ready to join me?

Pure fun imagination on the run!!!

Foreword

Legend says, that there was a time that angels lived with humans. These angels have been roaming the earth, disguised in mortal form and protected the people from demons and gave them spiritual guidance. They were known to be the bridge of God to men. They were called the Grigori.

They were given an immense responsibility and with it they were bestowed upon great power. The most “human” of angels were perceptive, their senses heightened than most of their kind. They are sharp in discerning dissonance, an unstable sound the angels hear when there is discord over the humans they protect. Their strength in combat unparalleled for they stood against evil, first hand. Evil, in solid form who tries to disrupt the peace and balance over  humanity and the Earth. They influence mankind to be susceptible to sin.

For centuries they have lived in harmony with humans. They spoke, ate, sang songs, cried, laughed and educated men who remained ignorant of their true identity. At night, they spread their black wings that they easily conceal in the dark. In their immortal, true form, they are more incisive with their faculties quicker to function.

Mortal & Immortal, they could live both ways. With this came the danger of conflict in insight. For how is a mortal detached to emotion? Even the most “human” and thought to be powerful angels were not spared by the nebulous power of love.

They LOVED.

Something that was unexpected and unforeseen. They took wives, married and even ed to beget an offspring, called the Nephelims. Their children were uncontrolled. They were half mortal and immortal. They plagued on the weak and pillaged the earth, endangering humanity. The people dying, cried help to the heavens and a Great Flood was sent to rid the earth of these abomination.

None of the Grigori and the Nephelims survived.

And this is where our story starts…

Dark angry nimbulus clouds hover over a small valley of rubble and ashes. Two beautiful men in white gossamer robes, seemingly strong and youthful but have been present anno domini, scour the place that smell of fear and death. Jinwoo, a loyal protector of the Archangels and TaeHyun, his protege, were tasked to inspect the aftermath of the Judgement day, when water and fire eradicated the angels who walked with men and procreated, conceiving creatures that endangered the humans, they were supposed to protect.

"Its been done." Jinwoo spoke. "Taehyun, there's nothing left."

Taehyun crouches down and his hands touch the ground. "All bodies have been burned to ashes." He bends his head, his hair covers his closed eyes and says a silent prayer.

Jinwoo, the older one, continued to look about and he stops when he senses a dissonance around him. He walks to a small basket that began to glow as he came closer.

"Taehyun, come quick!" He calls out to his companion. Taehyun stands and immediately walks to Jinwoo. "Look…"

Shock registers on Taehyun's face. There inside the basket, was an infant, a girl, looking up at them. The younger man picks her up but Jinwoo stops him.

"We must kill it." Jinwoo says. He takes the baby and sets her on the ground. "Taehyun, draw your sword."

"If you want to kill her, then it will be by your sword and not mine."

"We were ordered to check if everything has been annihilated! We must kill it!"

Taehyun takes the baby from the ground and holds her in front of him.

"Jinwoo, this is a baby girl. The Nephelim are giants, the worse of our kind…"

"They are not like us!"

"They are still children of angels!"

"They are children of men!"

"Look at her! Does it seem like she can hurt anyone? She's a girl, a baby! For all we know there were humans in this place! Innocent humans who could do nothing against the power that created them!"

"The stench of all the carcass is clouding your judement, Taehyun." They both whip around at the sound of the voice, ready to attack. Relief washed over them as they see Mino, Dux of the High Guards, the leader of the protectors of the celestials. They both bow to acknowledge him.

"Take her to the Valley of Death." Mino instructs. "Let her soul be with her kind."

"But..." Taehyun wanted to argue and just then, they see a movement behind the baby. Mino and Jinwoo takes out their sword but Taehyun slowly removes the white cloth covering the baby's body. Instead of striking, their eyes soften when they see tiny wings spread out from the infant's back.

"See? She is like us!" Taehyun says.

"Maybe the decision isn't for us to make. We can take it back to the palace and present her." Jinwoo suggests. Taehyun smiles when no one wanted to harm the baby now and cradles her in his arms.

Mino nods and sheathes his weapon. "I have shed a liberal amount of blood in my hands today. I won't add another, especially from one so helpless." Mino touches the baby's cheeks. "May the fates be kind to her for I do not want to shed more blood, if she turns out to be the last of the Grigori..."

Chapter 23: (Clap clap clap) Bravo, authornim ❤️ If this were a paperback novel, I could say that I could hardly put it down. I was so engrossed in the story that I stayed up late again last night until it felt like my eyes would fall off. Anyway, I think it was brilliant that you ended it the way you did. Again, thank you. I hope you’ll write more stories like this in the future.
