Kiss the Rain (oneshot)

Description

Summary: Two people meet and fall in love with the help of a little drizzle.

A/N: This is inspired by the season here in my country. It’s raining hard most of the time. I want to love the rain so I made this. I’ve thought of making stories with different versions. I don’t know why. Kkkk And this is the first version of the story Rain. After I finish the two versions, tell me which version you liked best ok? Well, onto the story. ^__^

Foreword

Kiss the Rain

The skies turned dark signaling rain and suddenly big fat drops of water fell down from the sky. People caught under the first few drops immediately scattered, each one looking for places to use to combat the sudden spring of water.

Junsu, having just gone out of his office building, immediately ran toward the nearest waiting shed he could find. He felt water drop on his shirt as he sped under the torrent of rain. Not wanting to catch a cold, Junsu tried to run faster to get to the waiting shed, blotches of liquid appeared on his pants as the rain also started to soak his jeans.

‘Oohh, my new shirt is ruined. Blast this rain.’ He mused. He didn’t really like rain. He didn’t like the cold and he didn’t like getting wet. For him the rain was just a bother. It was difficult to carry bags and stuff when it rains because one had to hold an umbrella too. Umbrellas were just as annoying because one could never get the best one to protect a body from the water. One more of his dilemma was the difficulty in getting transportation. Junsu couldn’t count how many times he missed a bus or a taxi because everybody seemed to want one at the same time. Arguments and miscommunications arose from those scenes which he could live without, thank you very much. And how could he forget the horrendous traffic jam? Whenever it rained it seemed that there were more cars on the road than usual so it always resulted to heavy traffic that could ruin one’s day. It certainly ruined his day.

He was just about to go to work early in the morning when the weatherman said that there was a brewing storm near their vicinity and everyone had to bring their umbrellas. Junsu didn’t believe it because the sun was shining very brightly that time. So he didn’t also bring his umbrella. Who would have thought that the weather forecast was right? Junsu cursed his stupidity and the typhoon.

Now as he ran toward the waiting shed to shield his shivering body against the loud beating of the rain, he could feel that he would have a cold later that night. He was sure of it. But as he was nearing the shed, he suddenly felt that his shirt was not getting any wetter. It was like a barrier had appeared and he was invincible to the rain now. He looked up and suddenly, a yellow umbrella was over his head. A blur beside him took his notice and it was then that he saw that someone had just come up beside him. It was a man. The said man turned his head and Junsu couldn’t do anything but stare. His face was pleasant, a welcome expression seen.

“Hi! It seems like you’re soaked. I’m loaning my umbrella to you.” Said the man in a y bedroom voice. Then he smiled. Junsu saw the most dazzling smile he had ever seen. The man’s dimple on his left cheek beckoned an answering smile from Junsu so he did. It was the start of their trips to the shed while running under the rain.

For the next few days, it rained steadily. And in the span of those few days, Junsu and Yoochun always seemed to go out of their office buildings at the same time. For they always ended up heading toward the same shed that they went to the first day the rains started to pour. Junsu learned his lesson, he brought his umbrella the next day, but the same day, Yoochun forgot to bring his. So Junsu had to share his umbrella with him. The day after, Yoochun brought only his jacket and nothing else. Junsu forgot his umbrella, so they shared the flimsy material with each other. They ended up soaked anyway because the jacket was not that water proof. Junsu had the sniffles, Yoochun’s throat itched, but they didn’t mind.

The weatherman said today was the last day of the rain. Junsu didn’t bring his umbrella, Yoochun didn’t bring his jacket. When they saw each other again, it was raining hard. Water was seeping through their clothes and fall on their faces but not one of them seemed to mind. Yoochun gave a smile and Junsu smiled back. Junsu reached for Yoochun’s hand and held it tightly. They moved toward each other and the space between them disappeared. Junsu leaned forward and Yoochun met his lips with his own. The warmth of their kiss and the cold rain mingled on their lips. Junsu thought that now he didn’t mind if it rained the whole night. He didn’t care if he got soaked. He wouldn’t mind it at all, as long as Yoochun was with him under the liquid shower of the skies. The rain started to pour more heavily. He broke the kiss and looked at Yoochun incredulously, his expression asking if they needed to go to the shed.

The man beamed and shook his head, “We could dance under the rain.”

Junsu laughed as Yoochun pulled his hand while his other arm s around Junsu’s waist. It was their first dance under the rain. Junsu looked up laughing; he saw the dark skies and felt water caress his face.

Yes, he didn’t mind if it rained, he loved the rain now. Oh, how he loved it!
