In a world where the first words from your future soulmate are tattooed into your skin at the age of thirteen, Sungyeol can't help but be thoroughly confused by the red heart that's imprinted on his wrist. While Myungsoo's used to say 'Do you need help with that?' in tiny, scratchy writing along the inside of his forearm only for it to become illegible due to the ugly burn that takes up half of the skin along his limb.

Sungyeol doesn't expect to meet his soulmate in the library during his junior year, the last place he would ever think for them to meet, while Myungsoo is visibly shaken by the tall, beautiful boy who calmly, but cheerfully asks him "Do you need help with that?" as he reaches up to grab the photography book that Myungsoo is just unable to reach. Myungsoo's heart can't help but start beating a thousand miles a minute a moment later.
